Good for him! A team shouldn't keep a player at all cost and Kyrie got out just in time. Cleveland is a cluster**** if I ever saw one.
it's a douche thing to do imo. a player gets paid ridiculous amounts to play and should honornhis contract. but since it's the calves, i understand.
Best thread title ever... Kyrie is a weenie, and certainly one of the dumbest individuals on the planet.
well..who knows which other current star has blackmailed their team in similar ways. The stars run the league. Fact is you can not keep a disgruntled superstar that demands a trade. It will be cancer off and on the court. Situations like Pop that they talk things out and everything thereafter is all rosy are very rare.
Perhaps they wouldn't be as big a ClusterF if they had held onto Kyrie and made him honor his contract? As opposed to trading him for a pint size guard who can't really defend and Jae Crowder who is just blah.
When I first found out Kyrie wanted to leave the Cavs because of LeBron, I lost all respect for him. After learning how huge a jerk LeBron became after returning to Cleveland, I no longer blamed Kyrie for requesting a trade. Watching the Cavs evolve into a complete dysfunctional mess this season, I actually applaud him for wanting out. Now, hearing that Kyrie was THIS determined to force a trade, I really don't blame him.
Wish that was the first thing that came to my mind regarding TMac but unfortunately for Mac, it was the same as @Air Langhi Although I have to nitpick that TMac put him out for the season to block other teams interest in trading for him. Dude lowered his value so he wouldnt be traded that season.
Am I missing something? So if they tell him okay go for it he’s going to jeopardize his career by actually having a unneeded surgery?
