His success will largely depend on who he picks as coordinators and assistants.

Texans should sign Tyrod Taylor as DW4's backup as soon as the Bills cut him

I think he'll be looking for a lot more money than the Texans would be looking to pay a backup for a franchise QB. I also think that he'll be holding out for some QB needy team to be desperate enough to give him a starting job.

Hoping we don't lose Sean Ryan, Deshaun seems to like working with him and I don't want to see an improved Marriota

Just had to have Jeff Allen. ;)

Other Eagles: Steven Means, Donnie Jones & Bryan Braman

And for the Patriots, Brian Hoyer & Eric Lee.

But they'll find a way to screw it up and we'll be watching Clowney go to a SB with another team. Probably the Ravens.

Not at all subtle shot at the former GM.

The Texans are going to give him a massive deal, bigger than he would get on the market. He will be good and end up a borderline Hall of Famer. His body will get beat up and he will never sniff a Super Bowl.

When he is 45 years old he will sit around with Johnson and Watt and bitterly talk about how they shouldn’t have wasted their prime with the Texans. He also won’t be happy that Cushing’s jersey is retired before his.

I remember it a little differently. Jeff Allen wasn't in the picture until the Eagles swooped in and stole Brooks away. After that point, Allen was kind of an "oh s**t!" knee-jerk response.

To my memory, you can fault them for not focusing on Brooks out of the gate, maybe, but not for preferring Allen over Brooks.

Can thank Texans medical staff for being unable to diagnose a simple anxiety disorder as to why Rick let Brooks go.

But remember the medical staff is engaged by the GM. And we need to rethink some of our group.

It is also fair to say the Eagles have gotten more out of him than the Texans did. Better coaching? :)
