The Texans are going to give him a massive deal, bigger than he would get on the market. He will be good and end up a borderline Hall of Famer. I remember it a little differently. Jeff Allen wasn't in the picture until the Eagles swooped in and stole Brooks away. After that point, Allen was kind of an "oh s**t!" knee-jerk response. To my memory, you can fault them for not focusing on Brooks out of the gate, maybe, but not for preferring Allen over Brooks.
Can thank Texans medical staff for being unable to diagnose a simple anxiety disorder as to why Rick let Brooks go. But remember the medical staff is engaged by the GM. And we need to rethink some of our group.
