So you are saying Math will have to borrow money for a plane trip or gas money to drive to the Bay area, Cali
Stop being so defensive and sensitive. OP has a point (regardless of his/her agenda). Warriors is still the team to beat so don't get ahead of yourself. It's better to be humble than complacent. And more importantly, we need to beat them in the playoff, not (only) the regular season. Obviously this is not the most popular opinion but I am just being rational.
I’m tired of all the excuses and caveats every time GS loses we can’t just enjoy a great win...nah, people have to come in here with the “GS wasn’t trying and was gassed,” “they just missed shots,” every time they lose, it’s because they weren’t trying or didn’t care...it can’t be because the opponent was just flat out better that night
it’s not like we did anything out of the ordinary last night...we didn’t beat them because we made 25 threes or they shot 6-35 from deep or under 40% from the field...we didn’t beat them because Harden went game 4 in the 2015 WCF On them and dropped 45 What did the Rockets do last night that made u think “oh, I doubt they could do that again?”
Have @Mathrocker at the game. that was a fluke. the dude is OUR HUMAN VICTORY CIGAR. buy him a seat every game, or for his ******...gotta buy TWO. SIL
Agreed. I’m as sick of these defeatist arguments as you are brother. It’s funny because those “gassed” or “just missed shots” excuses can be applied to the losing team of every game ever played! Yeah this Rockets squad as constructed and healthy can beat the Warriors......wait for it.....IN THE PLAYOFFS.
Threads started: About a dozen already. You'd think he'd have stopped after "5 reasons Rockets will not win one game against Warriors in a playoff series," but nooooooo... he's doubling down on his Warrior love.
Every fan enjoyed the win. Forget about the excuses people make for your enemy. Just focusing on how to beat them. Listen to Eric Gordon. https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...ets-maintain-swag-beating-warrior/1051632001/ “We have a chance to go after the No. 1 seed,” said Rockets guard Eric Gordon, who shot just 2 of 15 on the night but was jovial afterward nonetheless. “Now that we’re healthy, I think we’re going to get back into a big winning streak and getting back to doing what we need to do, what we did earlier on in the year (when they started 25-4). “We really do have that chance (to beat the Warriors in the playoffs). Offensively, we’re just as good as them — no question (the Warriors have the league’s best offensive rating, while the Rockets are second). And defensively, we’ve got to just — they’re a championship team. They’re consistent. Whether they win or lose, they’re consistent. Us, we still have peaks and valleys and we really can’t have those (the Warriors are fifth overall in defensive rating, while the Rockets are 12th).”
I wish I could find a video of D'Antoni's 4th quarter bench talk, but it was good. Something to the effect of, "Don't get tired in the 4th quarter, You have all day tomorrow to be tired...". Not word for word, but you get the idea.
Honestly, Iggy and Bell are not insignificant pieces for them, but lol at that being anymore meaningful to them than Ariza and Green are to us. Who is "better" is not really even relevant, it's about the role you play for the team you're on. Also, Gordon was 2-14, and Anderson was non-existent again. And it "wasn't because of the Warriors defense".
So that block by Harden on Panang Curry was just his bad breath or something? Defense looked ok to me. Also The pudwhackers shot over 47% from 3 vs their season avg of 39%. I will give you they had 19 Turnovers, but they avg almost 16 per game. I am a negative fan. I searched for reasons to not be encouraged about this game, but I could not find any. This was a good win. If you don't like that fact, tough nipples.
I don’t dispute whether any of the players missing for both teams were significant respectively, however the Warriors had their “Big 4” good and ready.....so sorry, not a lot of sympathy from me as they are still good enough to win it all with “just” the big 4 without Iggy. The Rockets on the other hand need all hands on deck (Ariza and Green) to beat the Warriors in a series and I absolutely believe they can as long as they are all healthy. Point being the Rockets can ill afford to miss any rotation players more so than the Warriors. The Rockets without Ariza and Green was of greater significance than the Warriors without Iggy...,,compound that with horrendous shooting from EGO and Ryno, I’m encouraged as a fan that they were still able to get it done.
I'm not sure who you're talking to right now because if you understood my post, I'm not disagreeing with any of this... You're basically paraphrasing everything I said. My only point was that there is at least a case that the Warriors were not totally at full strength.
This dude really used Per 36 to say cAsspi is a better rebounder than LeBron. Only problem is cAsspi plays 15mpg and has to box out bench scrubs when LeBron plays over 36MPG and is assigned to the best player on the opposing team every night.
