Ariza's regular season % is meaningless in the playoffs, as he has been a complete failure and no-show the past few years in the post season. Also, Ariza absolutely does not stay in front of his man; in fact he gets blown by pretty frequently, and you can clearly see the difference between Ariza and Luc's defense when you watch Rockets games.

Ariza is also up there in age. I just don't get why so many people are hung up on this guy. Yeah, Ryno is our #1 issue in our roster, but Ariza is not far behind. I would have no problem if he was coming off the bench, but Ariza is just not a starter worthy player (on an elite team) anymore IMO.

I think your take on Ariza is spot on. He’s solid and will hit a clutch shot, but should be getting around 20 minutes a game on this team.

that's because they missed shots...when they miss they look human...harden also looks like he doesn't care because hes relaxed and chill...and its interpreted as swag when his shots fall, and when he misses hes accused of being lackadaisical or selfish

You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about on many fronts. Chemistry is NOT overrated in the nba. It’s the difference between a WCF rockets team and the very next season being a .500 team with a fired coach. Lack of chemistry is why CP3 left the Clippers. Moreover, CP3 specifically sighted his tight relationship with Trevor Ariza for choosing us. Chemistry is why Luc chose to follow CP3 and play for the vet minimum. Face the facts, Ariza isn’t going anywhere this season. He’s a respected leader on this team, shooting 38% from 3 and high IQ defender on a great contract. Count your blessings.

    Good game

Biggest positive was Ryan rebounding like 6-7 years ago..I rather have him do this than shoot a bunch of threes..

Warriors reportedly don't have great off-court chemistry. Draymond and Klay in particular don't like each other.

    https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...aymond-green-klay-thompson-got-into-it-a-lot/

They won two titles in the last three years. Cavs also had chemistry issues between LeBron, Kyrie, and Love, and still remains as the only team to face and beat the Warriors in the Finals.

Chemistry is overrated when you have to choose between that and talent. Talent almost always comes first; ask Morey because that's exactly what he believes based on the interviews that I've seen.

CP3 didn't come here mainly because of Ariza. That's ridiculous. He came here because of Harden and MDA, and MAYBE Ariza's presence made the transition smoother and easier, but that's about it.

I would happily call Ariza a 'blessing' when he finally shows up in the playoffs, and doesn't actively sabotage our whole game plan by being completely incompetent on both ends of the floor. Because that's exactly what he ways the past few years, and I have zero faith in him anymore.

17-0 with CP3, Harden and Capella is amazing, but even more special tonight against GSW without Ariza & without Gordons normal shooting %. Props to Anderson who still can't shoot for crap, but played a huge game on the defensive side.
    Just an awesome win.

Obviously not because of Gordon's play. He was brutal.

And what do you hope to get for an $8 million a year, almost 40% 3 point shooter who plays decent defense? To take this a step further, which NBA player isn't 'expendable' to some degree and why be so offended by Ariza, of all people, who is on a very favorable contract?

Ok dude, whatever you want to believe. The clippers had more “talent” than us (CP3, Blake, DeAndre, Redick, even Luc according to you over Ariza > Harden) and CP3 left and said it was the “culture” and chemistry as for his reasons why. You don’t know ****. I’ll take his word. The Cavs don’t win anything without Draymond’s suspension. The Warriors have chemistry AND the most talent assembled in modern basketball. With a few moves and good health we give ourselves a punchers chance if we play defense like we did tonight. Chemistry case closed on this quote by KD...

He does defend better than other players. He is quicker and has more reach than Tucker, Green or Ryan. Luc and him are similar, Luc is younger but having both Ariza and Luc is great.
Another good reason to have him is he gets along well with everyone and everyone likes him. He is one of the few that can get on Harden or even CP3 face and they won’t get mad at him. Codman and many others have said Ariza is very well like all around.
And his 3pt shots are falling he is shooting well.
