    FTs. I hated watching just harden flop his way to the ft line. Now they had the general of Flop city to also flop his way to the FT line

    Refs did a pretty good job of letting him flop without rewarding him.

    Thompson was getting torched by Harden every time there was a single coverage and the last win here was without Harden playing.It got so bad they switched Green on Harden.Thompson aint no Rockets killer and you are insane if you put a player like Thompson in the same conversation as Durant. If this was the 015 Warriors minus Durant we would be favorites to win the damn thing.Durant is the sole reason is who they are.

    Everyone is some way is expendable. Ariza isn't our most valuable starter obviously but he does have value. He is long and a good defender and he can hit the 3 ball enough to keep a defense honest. He's a 3 &D guy - and on this team, we need depth.

    LOL...Durant and Curry flopped more tonight than Harden. I wish people would judge Harden by how he is playing today instead of how he played years ago.

    The problem is Ariza isn't very good '3&D' player. A career 35% 3PT shooter with pretty much no defensive impact when compared to guys like Luc. Furthermore, Ariza often become an offensive liability whenever he tries to dribble or attack the basket by himself. He's extremely limited on both ends of the floor, and no way should deserve a starting spot on this team if we are serious about winning a championship.

    You are forgetting and downplaying the significant intangibles he brings to the Rockets. Not just a leader but also team's enforcer. Plus he is the very real glue that binds team together. Everyone loves Ariza, including his very best buddy on team, Chris Paul.

    I am not sure if you pay attention but Ariza developed his 3 point shot later in his career and didn't become a shooter until Washington. This season he is shooting 38.4% - he's long and stays in front of his defender. No he doesn't penetrate but he's like I said - a good 3 & D guy.

    Obviously if you can get Lebron you are better off. But honestly, we're better of with Ariza than a very expensive pretty boy Memphis small forward who spends most of his time on the injured reserve.

    We beat top WC teams back-to-back without the supposed glue guy. Besides, all this chemistry argument is almost always overrated in NBA. Talent wins in this league, and people defending Ariza for emotional and sentimental reasons have the same mindset as those people who defend Dwight or McHale to this day.
