I can't say his name, but the dude seems to turn us from a bottom 5 defense into a top 5 one. Never seen a single 6'8 player do that to a team.
He's like the Rockets version of Draymond, except not a dirty crybaby. I hope Morey is working on ways to pay him this year because he's going to be in demand.
What a steal. Paying him peanuts for starting role player production. If he was 3-4 years younger (he'll be 32 at the start of next season), he would be a prime candidate to take over Ariza's starting role in the next few years. On the other hand, I think his age actually may give us a little edge when it comes to negotiating his next contract. 31 going on 32 certainly isn't old, but it allows you to play the "wrong side of 30" angle when negotiating. In reality, he should produce at roughly the same level for the next 3-4 years, but we should be able to lock him in for a reasonable contract. You could argue we're in the perfect spot with ma booty.
In fairness, the Twolves offense is kind of a mess on most nights - their defense wins them games more often than not. Luc has been good, but let's not overrate our defense based on playing a team that has a poor offense.
Notice his "little pushs" (i mean literally a push) on his teammates to go closer the opposing player. I´ve noticed that for a while and i think its awwwweeeeesomeee.
I can remember Ron Harper being that type of player. The guy could cover 3 positions back in the day like Luc does currently.
Their offensive rating was 3rd in the league going into the game against us (now 4th) and their defensive rating is 22nd.
Yeah he's very solid. Part of it also is that we don't have to give any horrid defenders minutes when he plays.
