man i would prefer letting him sit out another week just to be sure 1000% healthy..can't risk re-hurt that hammy again..
Hmm - I was reading about PRP and evidence seems to suggest it is effective for this type of injury. It looks like there are two timetables - one for when you are cleared for play(apparently the one Harden has just met), and another for when there is full recovery(assuming you don't re-injure it before then). I'm seeing 26 weeks until full recovery - in other words, Harden will likely start the playoffs at less than full recovery and IF we reach the WCF or Finals, he will just be rounding into the full recovery timetable...that's cutting it close. It worries me because Harden's skill set relies on that start/stop so much and if he doesn't have that, it's going to make him easier to guard which limits the effectiveness of the complementary players around him.
He should really sit another week if he's not 100%. Especially when the games he's coming back are against contenders, the narratives will be all against him if we lose.
Can he good a practice first with some real banging so he can at least see how his body reacts? Seems like they’re rushing for a meaningless Warriors game.
Still one of the most durable superstars in the game. If his career blossoms as it has been, he'll go down as one of the most durable of all freakin' time. The way he's built to endure contact, and the deacceleration he employs to match up against bigger/more explosive players is remarkable. Shout out to Trev and PJ for being part of the epic, heavy minute club as well.
