Rockets Salary Projection Assume That Tillman's Payroll Budget IS $180 Million for 2018-19 Season.

Why would any of you guys want Deandre over Capela??? If we let Capela walk we are making a huge mistake he is literally the perfect C in todays NBA.

 

Mirotic would probably do it. I'd send a first for him, but we don't have a contract that the Bulls would accept (and we wouldn't trade Gordon/Ariza).

Off the top of my head James Johnson, Aaron Gordon, Labissiere, Jaymichael Green, Ibaka. All of these guys have weaknesses, but would make great fits on our roster and they are certainly not superstars. It would change this team: improving us slightly in transition defense, transition offense and PnR defense. We would loose some shooting no matter who replaces Anderson, but it might be worth it to achieve a better balance and net effect.

The condition of course is that we don't lose anyone of significance except Ryan Anderson. That's a pipe dream at the moment with Anderson's slump and contract.

OTOH I sometimes wonder if Gerald Green can carry our bench scoring on the wing enough that we can consider trading Eric Gordon for an equally solid piece but at the 4 position. Let's see how Green does over a 30 game stretch before making any rash decisions though.

 

They are going to resign Capela, he is trending up. No way they let him walk. He is the future of the team.

 

Why is it everytime I see someone with scientist in their name, I immediately think of that moron troll we had here a while back who thought V Span was the gawd of all basketball who the Rockets treated badly?

The inability to put a sentence together that doesn't hurt my brain reading it is eerily similar. Along with the need to start multiple hot take threads designed to piss off the board.

Don't be ridiculous, no one is going to offer the max to Capela. No one else wants to have to rely on Capela to be their big 3 either. Capela can develop though, he keeps improving. I can see him continuing to get better for 2 more years. How good can he be as his handles, touch, defensive experience improve?

All I know is he's worth what he'll be offered while he's in his prime.

 

What is tillman says he doesn't mind paying luxury tax. Unlimited budget for the right players.
