Such a high rate of players re-dislocating shoulders I hope he is brought back only have he has fully rehabbed it
My guess would be in 2 more weeks.

His shoulder is probably stable enough to handle the controlled movement of shooting, but if he were to have a hard impact on it that could reaggravate the injury.

Even with Green playing well, we need Luc back. It allows us to play PJ more at the 4 and cut Anderson's minutes during this slump. While PJ is slumping too, at least you can count on some pretty good rebounding and defense when PJ is on the floor. Anderson is trying hard, but he just doesn't have a lot to offer beyond the shooting and a little bit of offensive rebounding. When he's shooting well, this team is pretty impossible to beat. But I want to be able to afford to sit him if he's not playing well. IMO PJ has looked far better at the 4 than he has at the 3 so it might jump start his game, boost Capela's defense and our team defense too.

We need a bit of a shake up.

Rough stuff that we will have to wait one to two weeks for Luc. So longs as he has fully recovered when he is brought back that is what is important. In the meantime other guys like Ryno and PJ who are in an offensive slump need to break out of their slump soon because we may need to them to hit big shots especially against some of the plus .500 teams we will be playing before Harden gets back. Tomorrow we will be facing a Blazer team that is on a 3 game win streak, scoring above their season average with recent wins over the Spurs and the Thunder, two usually very good defensive teams. I hope the Rockets put in the effort on defense from the 1st quarter till the end, so it would lead to some fast break points.

Agreed. Takes a long time for labral injuries to heal. Chronic instability can end careers.

Let Luc heal so he can come back 100%. In interim sign/trade for some long athletic fast break elite D players - Deandre Liggins and Nerlens Noel.

I guess since they were saying something about him making the road trip I figured he was getting close to playing. Seems like that isn't the case, wonder why he was on the trip then.

Hopefully he's back before the all-star break but if it's gonna be close just go ahead and say he'll be back after the allstar break...

If we bench Gerald, when booty is back I'll be pissed but I don't think MDA would ever have a 10 man rotation. That'd be like committing a sin.

What's the solution here then? Alternate Green with Luc/PJ depending on match up? Skim a few minutes off everyone to get Green in the line up? MDA has been raving about Green so I don't he'll bench him unless he cools off significantly.

Ideally...when LRMM comes back, it lessens Ariza's minutes rather than zapping all of Green's minutes.

But you're right...no chance MDA has that deep of a rotation.

Anderson/Tucker will lose minutes to Luc and Gerald ideally.

Scrubby Anderson should lose his minutes.

    That’s the key.

Lessen ariza minutes. Mbah should slowly ease back in anyways.

Take 6-8 minutes from ariza putting him at 30-32.
Take 4-6 minutes from green putting him around 20-22
Take all 5-6 of Weber’s minutes

That’s 15-20 minutes for the prince which is perfect coming back from injury

    This is the way I see the Line up when Healthy;

    PLAYERS MINS PER GAME

    Harden - 32
    Paul - 30
    Ariza - 30
    Anderson - 25
    Capella - 30

    2nd Unit
    Gordon - 18
    Green - 16 - 20 (sharing between 2/3)
    Mbah a Moute - 18 - 20 ( sharing between 3/4)
    Tucker - 20
    Nene/Black - 18

    * PLAYING TIME IS GOING TO DEPEND ON SITUATIONS, WHO'S PLAYING WELL, MATCHUPS, ETC.

Good question, and Feigen answered it in his regular "Takeaways" articles from the Bulls game. Apparently, Rockets will always have some trainers on a road trip, but since Harden's trainers stayed home, Moute's trainers had to travel, so Luc went with them.

    3. The Rockets have still not shared a timetable for Luc Mbah a Moute’s return and likely do not have one in mind yet. But he is getting closer with his workouts more intense even as his patience has run thin. Going on the Rockets’ road trip was just about which rehab specialists traveled and which remained in Houston with James Harden. Mbah a Moute stayed with the staff members he had been with since he dislocated his shoulder Dec. 13.

I like it but Anderson’s mins. Unless he can get to 0.5-0.70pts per min played I’m okay with it.
