ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Pistons 1/6/2018

When you are missing the best scorer/top 3 playmaker in the nba obviously things will look bad. Pistons were missing 2 of there best 3 players. Reggie Jackson and Andre Drummond. Capela without Harden feeding him is just not that good.

 

The injuries have uncovered the roster deficits of this team. Major rotation players Anderson and Tucker are negative players, Capela has major stamina concerns with no viable backup options for him, no dependable ball handlers past Harden and Gordon, etc.

 

From elite to league punching bag

 

Harden would not have made a bit of difference.

 

capela is overrated here..Harden just makes regular dudes looks like stars..give the man the MVP already..

I think it's more the team (so, Chris included) giving 101% in the last two minutes because of pride but yeah...this is the same group which was playing terrific defense for two months, now they just don't run, jump and bite opponents ankles like they were doing.

With the way we've been playing lately and Bulls have been playing lately, Spurs are about to pass us the next game we play.

 

Ok I can’t be positive about it anymore....

It seems to be the usual suspects...... it’s now a trend and these guys seem to have suffered the brewer effect


No offensive production from Tucker, Anderson, and Weber(although you can’t really knock the guy cause he shouldn’t be on the team)

This is almost a month long now.....

Just a month ago I said that I don’t see a move that we could do to upgrade and now I’m not so sure....

 

I have an idea. Get rid of all of them!!!!

Lets get a team with lillard and jimmy butler as our stars. Byron scott can be our coach and billy king can be our gm.

Paul has to take more than 10 shots every night while Harden is out

 

I'm not very impressed by MDA's coaching after having him here. His teams defensively can't be taken seriously, he runs players in the ground, doesn't develop young players well, etc.

why can't he inflate ariza, anderson, or tuckers stats?

why is chris paul not putting up 29/11 then?

 

Yea bulls have been playing well. We prob lose by 20. Maybe that’s the wake up call we need.

 

The amount of double teams and pick and roll points harden creates is 55 a night. 32 points he creates of his own scoring and 23 off assists. That is insane.That is half of a great offensive teams output he generates by himself. Lebron or Durant dont even have that effect or output. When people call him the best offensive weapon in the league they are onto something.

 

those expirings and young players with limited potential aren’t getting u somebody better than CP3 who is a top 10 player...matter of fact, the only reason they were able to get us CP3 is because he was about to be a free agent and made us his destination...if he still had multiple years left on his deal there’s no way in hell those assets would’ve been enough for him

you’re not even acknowledging all the obvious benefits that CP3 brings to the team and how much he helps Harden

also, let’s not act like a huge reason why many Rockets fans feel that there’s a chance that Lebron will come here is because we acquired CP3

this flawed roster was seen as the 2nd best team in the NBA behind GS before dudes started going down with injuries...that trade was a win
