I in no way act like there aren't any distinct deficits to Harden's game. Actually, if you read my original post, part of it said: "He has his flaws, no doubt. He ballwatches too much on defense still. He plays for the foul and for the whistle. He can get visibly frustrated and let it effect his game. He sometimes has the appearance of being lazy on the court. I'm not debating these things. He could definitely improve in some areas." That in no way sounds like me acting like there isn't a distinct deficit to his game. And you act like there are other superstar players out there that don't have their own flaws/weaknesses in their games. There isn't.
the funny part is... as phenomenal and integral to our championships that Cassell and Horry were... do u think MDA would play them in the same situation today? Sam was a rookie for the 1st championship... and Horry certainly wouldnt have had the benefit of starting 79 games the year before (as a rookie) and then starting 81 for the championship year - avg 29+ mins his first 2 years... that aint happenin on MDA's watch - lol!
I dont get pissed when shots dont fall - regardless of who's shooting them... sometimes they fall - sometimes they dont... now if they aint falling - and you keep shooting - then we got an issue... lol I get pissed when guys do stupid things... jacking up ill-advised 3s... playing hero ball... not playing d.... being careless with the ball.... putting their stats ahead of long term team goals... I judge based on effort... so yeh, if you're sucking - I want to see you pissed or at least concerned - not aloof and certainly not laughing it up on the sideline like Kevin Martin... As long as I get the sense that a guy is giving his all to try to help the team - he's aces in my book...
