This OIG? The one that supposedly approved release of FBI agent text messages intended to discredit the FBI investigation? Except, of course, the OIG office admitted that they weren't consulted on these... even though the DOJ said they did? That OIG?

yea... I am worried about their investigation findings... but funny thing, no one appears to be trying to slow or stop that investigation, unlike those trying to slow/stop Mueller's investigation. Funny thing... criminals always attack the prosecution when they know the real evidence will convict them.

this thread is onto something, today was the dealine for DoJ to provide info to Congress, Rosenstein meets with Ryan alone (i.e. not with the other leaders or chairs of intel committee)

Rosenstein informs Ryan that members of Congress are under investigation for leaking (which DoJ promised to root out), and that's why DoJ aren't complying with Congress' requests, because it would compromise that investigation

suddenly, Nunes/Jordan, who were demanding this information by today's deadline, no longer are complaining about that

if I am Adam Schiff, ranking member of the intel committee and notorious leaker of classified intel, I am scared ****less that Rosenstein is only talking to Ryan

Just... dude, no, WHY?! You don't have to do this, @Commodore. You can still hate libs snd drive peeps crazy, but not for 45.

Good lord the tin foil hats are out tonight. Most likely the DOJ had to explain why disclosing the requested documents will undermine the special counsel (obviously because Nunes would take that info right to the White House), and Rosenstein came to an agreement of an a more protected way of getting them these docs or access to the information.

Or could be that they went to Paul Ryan to tell him to tell Nunes and Jordan to knock it off or they will be investigated for obstruction. (Hence why they went quiet). Who knows.

Your obsession with covering up a legit investigation for the sake of your cult leader is insane.

I literally heard Hannity tonight was saying that the fire at the Clintons earlier today was due to them burning secret documents. You people have lost your F-ing minds.

Comey also in trouble for leaking classified info

Comey is royally screwed because the person Grassley wrote that letter to is the same guy that fired Comey.

Black Hat political operators in this: Comey, McCabe, Page, Strzok, Baker

White Hats rooting out the corruption: Sessions, Rosenstein, IG Horowitz, Grassley, Goodlatte

Horowitz will soon issue his report, from which will spring congressional investigations, a special prosecutor, and lots of firings.

    http://www.cnn.com/2018/01/03/politics/chuck-grassley-comey-memos/index.html

Comey wrote the letters in a manner as to where they could be shared, and testified in court so.

The guy is a career prosecutor. If you really think he’s that dumb to make that kind of blunder you are crazy. If he messed up and accidentally disclosed classified info, while improper, it wouldn’t necessarily be illegal as we learned from the Hillary Email scandal. You have to establish intent.

Still I don’t think he’s that dumb. This is likely just an other attempt by Grassley to derail his own investigation. The GOP here is acting extremely unpatriotic in their attempts to undermine our own institutions and laws.... and for what... Donald F-ing Trump?

    Wrong, gross negligence is enough.

I said “wouldn’t necessarily”. Yes intent matters. Yes gross negligence can matter. However it’s a clear fact, established in other cases, that just because you technically share classified info, you automatically are in handcuffs.

Same goes with obstruction of justice as I’m sure you will NOT be fighting for such a strict legal definition. Trump may very well get off on a similar law because of the element of intent. You can’t have it both ways in your strict and loose interpretations of the law when it suits you and not your guy.

Yeah but c'mon you can't expect someone like dobro to admit that no matter what the statute says, if he admitted that, he'd have to admit that Clinton should have been indicted and that there actually was wrongdoing by those in the FBI who did their best to make those crimes go away.

Lol, the banner ads are just a bunch of black hats for sale.

@Commodore, that's fine if they want to prosecute Comey for something. Put him in prison. Put Hillary in prison. Put Schiff in prison. As long as Mueller's investigation goes ahead, I don't care about any of those guys. You seem to think that if Comey is a bad guy, politically motivated to investigate Trump, and a leaker too, than that means that Trump didn't break any laws. That is not at all the case.

I also think it's pretty funny that Rosenstein made your white hats list in you simple bifurcation of DC. I agree he's a white hat, because he's the one that appointed Mueller and gave him wide-ranging powers after Trump tried to quash the investigation by firing Comey to make sure the Russia investigation would be pursued unto conclusion. I just don't understand why he made your list. Is he such a stand-up guy that people on both sides of this debate cannot deny it?

I am genuinely oblivious about this report.

The jury should have more Donald peers, rich old white men who feel superior to the unwashed masses.

Not sure how many of you have spent much time in DC, but the fact that only 11 of the 20 jury members are a minority is actually pretty surprising. The regular practice of the courts is to have the jury represent the population of that district which is at least half African American, I believe.

This is nothing more than pure racism honestly. Everybody knows it which is why it hasn't been picked up by the GOP yet... However I predict Trump will open his mouth about it though because... well... he's a racist, and his calling card is racial politics that dog whistle to racists.
