I could careless about chinese $$$. Qi is not good. We can cut him & possibly bring in a guy like Tyson Chandler.

GG is a feel good story; I just need to see him work the damn Warriors over tonight. He does that and he's guaranteed himself a roster spot for the remainder of the season.
EGo's aren't reliable, but they're OK and can be good when his shots are falling and his defender have to stay tight. His first step is strong. I hate those crossovers of him, though!! Green never had the confidence to try and beat his defender off the drible. His handles are bad for a guard, imho. Not complaining though, I'm rooting for him and loving what he's doing regardless. On a high note, his three ball is a thing of beauty. His elevation shooting threes is something no other of our players have, not even James. Ryno, Ego, Ariza, Paul, they need a bit of space, though them all have a quick relase, something Luc and Tucker lack. Not that you need to have a good elevation to be great, obviously, once Curry nor Klay doesn't, but it opens a different oportunity, and CP3 clearly was taking advantage of that and feeding him perfectly, specially on the corners. His three ball coming off of a screen (against the Lakers, couldn't find the clip, sorry) was wonderful as well, only guys who shoot 3pt jumpers (Ray and Reggie would be the perfect examples --- but I'm NOT comparing Green to them!!!) can do this that way. On top of all that, he'll score more points than Klay 2night, rox by 7.
That money makes it easier to pay lux tax. Made Les more willing to spend. Don't underestimate that china money. And why cut him when you can trade him and get something in return? Be smart.
I don't want a "superteam". I want a championship team. If cutting Qi allows us to get someone like Tyson Chandler then so be it. Winning should be the main priority. Not chinese marketing $$$.
Only super teams win championships these days. We have to be able to at least keep Paul and add pieces later. The only way we can do that is to pay the luxury tax for years. I want Tillman to have all of the money in the world to be able to do so, and if Chinese money is going to help, I'm all for it.
Can we not find time for him in our lineup? Will this force Mikey D to do a 10-man rotation? CP3/Harden/Ariza/Ryno/Capela with a bench of EGO/Green/Moute/Tucker/Nene Surely we can find time for him, especially if we take the minutes away from Ryno if he is having an off-shooting night. EGO can pair with Harden and Green can pair with CP3 or reverse it.
I don't agree with that. We have CP & Harden. If Harden plays like he's supposed to play in the postseason, and Paul stays healthy, we have a legit chance to win it all. We don't need a superteam to beat GS, we need a DEEP team that has different ways of beating you. Zhou Qi is not going to EVER play significant minutes in the NBA. All he's doing is taking up space
I think we're arguing semantics here, but to me Harden+CP3 IS a super team, and for us to be able to pay CP3 and Harden the max and fill out the rest of the roster we have to go well into the luxury tax. Fertitta is going to need all the money he can get.
