We will never know how Chris Bosh would have looked like playing alongside Harden. That is one who got away and his condition got people bummed out.
When Harden plays bad there's no shortage of opposing fans, media members, and even so called Rockets fans that can't wait to pile on his corpse relentlessly. This is the key difference here. I'm not sure why people are trying to argue that Harden does not get criticized enough, he is perhaps the second most criticized player in the league behind LeBron. Comparatively the group that stands up for Harden is very small and when the level of scrutiny is so high there is naturally going to be repetitive arguments for both sides. It is expected that opposing fans and media members are going to have an irrational level of scrutiny for Harden especially when they present a clear bias; but what doesn't make sense is to have "Rockets fans" (NHF's) that are going over and beyond what those outside groups are doing to cannibalize a Rockets player. You do not see Blazers fans doing this to Lillard You do not see Raptors fans doing this to DeRozen You do not see Grizzlies fans doing this to Conley You do not see Thunder fans doing this to Westbrook And all of these guys have the same amount of rings as Harden does.
This is an unfortunate consequence of having the blatant trolls running wild here. Both sides get defensive and start trying to form in groups and out groups. It's what divisive language is intended to do.
So let me get this straight... James Harden plays for the Rockets. This is a Rockets message board. James Harden is currently LEADING THE LEAGUE in PER, RPM, Win Shares, and 2nd in VORP. All four advanced stats that go a long way in determining the worth, production, and effectiveness of a player. Harden is also leading the league in scoring and is tied for 2nd in assists. Harden is one of the elite few of unquestioned best basketball players in the world. And yet ON A ROCKETS MESSAGE BOARD there are countless people trying to convince everyone else that Harden is absolute garbage and not worthing cheering or rooting for. Just let that sink in for a second.
You are a hack. I root for EVERY player on our roster. If James is out, so be it. I want our team to succeed. Get over yourself.
