We have two thirds this year and two seconds next year due to Duane Brown trade. What more can we expect for all the FA's (Bouye, especially) we lost?

thanks. Hopefully will get a gm that can draft effectively in the third round or maybe we can trade up using some of our bounty in 2019.

I hope we don't move up. I say just keep the picks and use them next year. I don't feel the Texans are all that close to contending and it might be time for a mini-rebuild. The Texans have some good pieces, but they have a lot of holes to fill.

Comp picks haven't been announced yet, but its speculated we'll get a 3rd for AJ loss.

Thanks for posting JR, nice to see it in print. I wish one of those 6th Comp picks would get bumped up to a 5th, but it will be nice to add extra picks given how this draft has been gutted.

If it's time for a mini-rebuild, then you start it now...you move up and take talent where you can. Most rookies aren't making instant impact...so you're return on those picks isn't for 2018 anyway, in all likelihood.

Unless it's for an O or D lineman, we need those big guys to play immediately.

Thanks J.R., I doubt I'll see any movement from us on Day 1 of the draft, so I'll have my popcorn ready for the 2nd half of Day 2. :)

I agree about not moving up. We can do a lot with 2-3 third rounders.
I disagree about the Texans currently not being contenders. As you saw in the Clemson game this past weekend, any team with Watson as QB should be considered contenders.

You generally don't build (mini) rebuilds around trading *away* picks; the idea is to throw as much crap against the wall as possible and see what sticks.

I'll be disappointed if they deal picks to move up.
