This is messed up and unfortunate for the original Sager family. Definitely makes me lose respect for the man.
It makes me wonder if the kids should've even made this public. I have a totally different view of him now, especially after recalling his ESPY speech which was really well done. No ones perfect, but this is just all around sad
If your dad left your mom to get with a NBA dancer 20 years younger than him, you should probably get your hands on a copy of the notarized will before you let anyone touch your bone marrow. Just saying.
I think they only made it public because the woman is taking them to court to stop them from contesting the will which they were not going to do in the first place. They kept their mouth about being left out of the Will itself. But yeah it seems like Sager was the kinda guy that tried to erase his previous family when he re-married. and from what Nook wrote, this happens more than we know
At the end of the day was it worth it? I suspect that Craig would say yes........ unfortunately things are not always easy and everything comes at a price.
Ain’t even that hot. I know cancer sucks but Craig lived a long life and given that this is true, actions like these define what type of man you are. It doesn’t get much worse than this, the very son that donated his marrow was left out for the woman that he cheated with. Good riddance, he should feel lucky that he spared himself from the embarrassment now that his family has found out.
If the will was created at a time when Sager was ill and going through treatments, I see this as a man that may have been manipulated to do something he normally wouldn't have if completely healthy. This kind of thing happens so often. There are two examples in my own family where an elderly man was manipulated to change their will very late in life by a new wife. People will do anything for money. I feel bad for the kids, but I also feel bad for Sager himself. I think Sager was just preyed upon by this woman, although they were married for a fairly longtime.
Second, can we please stop glorifying people because they die? Everybody is going to have a foot in the grave someday.
Yeah........ or Sager acted consistent with past behavior. You know, like when he cheated on his first wife, with his future second wife........ moved away and started a second family. There is no reason to believe that Sager was conned or suckered into doing anything. His first family is grown, and he left his estate to his second wife and their under aged children.
Could be. But when a will is changed by a sick guy shortly before he passes, I see red flags. But, you make a good point and I don't disagree with what you are saying.
