What we want is an update if the injury takes longer than expected. I don't want to find out via offhand quotes from MDA that Moute is going to take up to 3 weeks longer than originally anticipated to come back. If they say they're going to evaluate someone in two weeks, then let us know the results of said evaluation. Regarding CP3, I was talking about his original knee injury to start the season. Feigan stated numerous times that the Rockets would evaluate his knee on "X" date (don't remember) and that date came and went with no news. I'm not asking for definitive exact answers, I'm just asking for updates when they realize the injury cause someone to be out longer than originally expected. It's disappointing to hear "two, three more weeks, whatever" from MDA when he should be back now according to the original timetable. TJones injury back in 2014. We were totally in the dark about that injury for months lol. I remember Worrell saying on some random game "they're saying TJones could be out over a month" and that was the extent of the update we got lol.
I hate to break this to you guys, but doctors don't really know exactly how long it takes to heal from an injury.
None of this makes me question the Rockets training staff. It feels like some of you guys are trying to find something to be mad at.
I'm not questioning the training staff at all lol, I think they're a fine staff. Just expressing frustration at the "official Rockets injury update policy" if that makes sense.
The original timetable changed. dantoni saying “2/3 weeks whatever” is the update after he realized the injury caused luc to be out longer than originally expected. He did exactly what you were hoping for based on what you just typed lmao. It sounds like you do want a definitive answer but thats not possible. There is literally no magic word that he can say to alleviate your frustration of lucs injury. We just have to wait.
Someone had to ask him about it lol, I'm talking about an official update from the organization. MDA is intentionally vague and always seems like he has no idea what he's talking about. I'm just saying I don't think it should be up to reporters to ask about injury updates. If no one asked, we'd have heard nothing.
Good. I hope greasy Keith Jones pays you in hamburgers (or the like) & Ryan pays you some of that $19 million he makes (not earns).
He’s vague because he isn’t a doctor and real licensed professionally trained doctors don’t even know. We have already established that there is no definitive answer and rockets fans will be frustrated at lucs injury no matter how its communicated to us. Here lets flip the table and put the power in your hands, What is your ideal scenario? Given that lucs injury isnt better and you dont know how long it will take, how would you communicate the news to fans so that they feel comfortable instead of frustrated? When you think about it from that perspective then I think you will realize that fans will be frustrated no matter what you say. You are frustrated at lucs injury, not dantoni or rocketd PR.
We need phoenix medical staff. https://www.google.co.id/amp/s/vall...behind-phoenix-suns-elite-training-staff/amp/
Exactly my point lol. People will be pissed no matter how dantoni and rockets PR handle injuries. People are getting way too caught up in etiquette about how to communicate injuries instead of just leaving their frustration at the injury itself. None of that dantoni communication matters because it has no effect on how quickly our injured players heal lol. People just want to take the injured player frustrations out on some sort of authority figure.
