does anyone have any update on Luc.. was he at the game obviously not dressed to play, but just visible.. Just trying to get our prince back so at a minimum we can go back to our original rotation and player minutes can be managed better.. not to mention harden definetely is not looking himself, playing extra minutes can not be good for his injured calf..
It will be awhile, as I speculated earlier this season, we are dealing with a case of mbone-on-mbone in Luc's shoulder.
Going to need him for the two back to back road games. Especially in Golden State in the first week of January
The Warriors game is at home. I don't think the Rockets have to play in Oakland again this season(not til the playoffs anyway).
One of these days the Rockets will not go out of their way to lie and downplay injuries, but instead accurately tell their fans what to expect. *thinking* Actually probably not
someone posted here yesterday that john lucas told him prince is still another 2 weeks away. the scrub who pushed him from behind should have been suspended a month too
Where does this come from? Why do fans think the Rockets don't tell us what's going on? There are actual franchises (Philadelphia 76ers) That actually lie about injuries. Rockets tell the fans everything they know. When has the organization downplayed or lied about an injury? People seem to point to DMO as THE case where Rockets lied, but that was a wrong diagnosis that was then cleared up if I remember correctly.
Have you been reading this thread? The Moute injury is case in point. Originally was 2 weeks. Now from random quotes we can piece together that it'll be more like 4-5 weeks. Also, the CP3 injury. The "evaluation" date came and went with no announcement. We again relied on MDA quotes for his updates and he seemed clueless.
I guess I'm not understanding why this is considered downplaying or lying about an injury. Luc went out with a significant shoulder injury. They said he will be out for a while. It's not like they are saying Luc got a paper cut, but he will be out for a long time. A paper cut is not a significant injury there is no reason for him to be out a long time. Luc has a significant shoulder injury and has indeed been out for a long time. In 2 weeks, obviously, he was re-evaluated then they put on more weeks for him to get healthy. Do we need the exact second that Luc will be back? is that the problem here? Cp3 was out with an Adductor. We were told it was an Adductor. What are the Rockets lying about exactly? Injury timetables aren't absolutes.
Dude there is no definitive exact answer thats being hidden right now. Human bodies don’t work that way. Everybody heals at different rates. Some suffer setbacks, some have complications upon returning, and others heal with no ill effects quickly. Every body and situation is different. You can’t put it in a box and act as if its easy to understand. You can’t know 100% how to predict recovery timetables. This is why people like pop refuse to even answer these types of questions.
Kawhi had the mysterious leg injury all the back into the summer. NOBODY knew when he was going to be back until one day he was back. Media was told the date he would be back, then he wasn't back. Pop was like, "I don't know when he's going to be back." Then the next day he was back. Nothing like that has been done on that level here in the Rockets org. Especially not to the best player on the roster.
yes bc no other team battles injuries to key players... i swear most of you are imbeciles and its obvious that many of you have never dealt with an injury before. oh ya - the rockets as an organization don't owe me, you or any fan anything in terms up to the minute injury updates, just like they don't owe us insight on any other facet of the team that isn't 100% relevant to the fan experience. as fans we're on a "need to know" basis and we certainly don't NEED to know every minutiae in regards to injuries. The Rockets are focused on two things: winning a title and maintaining strong profitability. keeping diehard fans placated with all the latest team intel falls far, far, FAR down the list.
