Well, good-bye high playoff seed. But let Harden rest for five weeks or so. Get him a hyperbaric chamber. Stem cells. Whatever. Just let him heal.
Morey needs to get a legit guard ASAP. In the meantime MDA should continue playing Gerald Green and developing Webber (and/or Jackson). Morey & MDA simply can't run their remaining players to the ground especially Cp3, Trev, & Ego playing them 36-42 minutes a night. They should all be averaging around 32 minutes if the main goal is Finals. And RA need to step the f*ck up he'll be the Rockets' second highest or even highest paid player on the court at times. And if not Morey needs to clean his mess first before blabbing his mouth again.
With Harden out and others likely playing more minutes, getting one of the top 2 seeds seems less likely. That's all.
even if we had a deeper bench, i'd doubt dan toni would go away from his le 8 man rotation. hamstrings are a finnicky injury. i pulled one in my soccer game a while back and honestly, it was the most painful injury i've had (and ive torn ligaments in my knee, ankle)
San Antonio is really the only threat to the 2 seed, and as long as we tread water for the next month, we should still be set up nicely for the last 2 months of the season.
Background on PRP injections: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4596175/ “Two case reports published in 2009 and 2010 highlighted a potential beneficial effect of platelet-enriched plasma in the treatment of a right adductor longus rupture and a grade II hamstring strain, respectively [27, 28].” “Range of motion and subjective global function was improved in the PRP-treated athletes relative to conventional therapy at 28 days; mean time to return to sports was also shorter in the treated vs. control groups (10 ± 1.2 vs 22 ± 1.5 days).” So Harden should be fully healed up in 10 days
This season has gone south soooooo fast Also...yikes about D'Antoni's comment on Mbah a Moute. Major yikes.
I think that's the most likely scenario. I honestly wouldn't be suprised if he didn't play in the allstar game. He prob shouldn't if we're being honest.
General hammy tears take 4 weeks before you can have full movement range back and he probaly will need a week of practise to rebuild his cardio endurance. best case scenario is late january early febuary. Luckily the draw till then is pretty easy. The worst thing you can do is rush it by coming back to early and hence tearing it off the bone which is season ending.
If we keep playing like this we might get catch by OKC (and the Wolves before them), i'm not even joking.
Guard James Harden is not scheduled to have his strained hamstring re-examined for another week before the team could get a sense of a potential timetable for him to return. The best case to return from a Grade 2 hamstring strain is considered two to three weeks, with a more severe tear typically keeping players out for four to six weeks. http://www.chron.com/sports/rockets...lague-compounded-by-loss-of-Nene-12478970.php
