From the beginning of the season I have been hoping that Morey would get a 3rd point guard that MDA trusts that can run the offense. I was and still worried about CP3 staying healthy. Now surprisingly with Harden out for a while Morey will have to get one (a decent 2nd/3rd string point guard) or MDA will be forced to use one of the other 3 point guards on the team to run the offense. On the bright side this has happened now and the Rockets can over the middle of the season figure things out as opposed to what happened last year's playoffs when the Rockets lost Nene and had to use Ryno at center because there was no 3rd string center MDA would use.

Disappointed but not surprised. MDA took Harden's durability for granted. Been several occasions Harden needed to take games off not just this season. Hoping this can be a positive in the long run and he can be fresher than he's ever been for the playoffs. MDA's stubborn ass has to open up that rotation now.

 

2 weeks, if Rockets keep sliding, it will be a month, if Rocks keep winning without him. I rather have this happened during the middle of the season then at the end of the season. This maybe a blessing, Harden will get the needed rest.

 

If CP3 would be healty as he was after he came back early this season i wouldn't be that worried by our record, but i'm not sure when he'll be that healty, maybe it'll take a couple of games but maybe way more...

 

How do you mention a possible Rockets curse and omit the Texans ?!?

 

It's very possible but it has to be a perfect game from everyone.

 

I'm hoping MDA will prove me wrong and adjust to James being out .

Now that he doesn't have 2 superstars to rely on he might actually have to try to coach some .

Who am I kidding ? He will probably play Ariza and Cp3 40 mpg and chalk up losses to "tired legs"

It's obvious we are banged up and it's been obvious for a while that Harden was playing banged up . I don't care if people think "oh it's James' decision to play " **** THAT , the coach is there to keep players in perspective and protect guys from themselves .

 

BS, Harden's nonstop quest for MVP won't let him take games off, he's been asked but won't do it.

 

I don't think it's on Morey .

Dantoni doesn't seem to trust anyone that's not already established . He gave Dekker and Harrell plenty of minutes during the reg season last year , but as we drew closer to the playoffs he cut them out.

Also Mike has always had the preference for going small .

I'm shocked and jubilant that he is giving Green some minutes ... But green is also making his shots right now . I'm not sold he'll keep on giving him minutes of he goes through a cold spot ( even though he absolutely should for defense , athleticism , and resting purposes )

 

Morey deserves some blame too

He could have drafted mccaw instead of chianu

Or drafted or picked from fa, dleague, overseas a better pg than webber brown and jackson

Instead he was obsessing ang bragging about beating gsw

You have no proof of this .

It's incredibly more likely that the coach with a history of overplaying his players simply never seriously asked James to rest .

And the coach is in charge . You think if Kawhi wants to play and pops says no that kawhi is going to say " **** you coach I'm playing "

Of course players want to play . But the coach always has the final word .

 

Sucks, hopefully Morey stops ****ing around with these two way players + Bobby Brown and brings in another veteran guard that can run Mike's offense. I know people say Deron Williams is done, but there are not many options out there. Morey should bring him in.
