Like that trainer said in the tweet earlier in this thread, out of the "minor" injuries that can heal 100% on their own, a hammie for Harden is probably the most disruptive he could get, because of the way he plays. He probably stresses his hamstrings more than most players, making him high risk for reinjury without complete rehab. I'm begging him to sit through ASG weekend, but im probably being overly worried saying dont come back until mid march. The whole season would be a wash if he reinjured, and potentially a long term problem. so sad
Googled grade 2 hamstring recovery time and it says 4-8 weeks. My concern is if we can keep Paul healthy for time Hardens out. This is time for Weber & Green to step up
Grade 2 and he's out two weeks? Classic Rockets bullshit. If he's back in two weeks, that'd be ****ing awesome. Try 6-8 weeks. 2 weeks later to evaluate sure, but if that's ETA on his return....they need to be straight. SIL
i would let harden rest as much as possible, a healthy harden with proper rest is super dangerous for sure
For once we agree, be careful, posters will attack you for saying this. But I agree 100%. Out 12 weeks minimum.
Not the worst case scenario but ******* close to it. This will linger. This season has gone south FAST.
Waiting for @RocketsTruth... did he get banned? I was waiting for him to say this is a fake injury because Lebron turned 33.. IT ALL COMES BACK TO GEMATRIA 33!
now I'm really worried about paul, we need to sign another Guard ASAP, Paul can't handle Harden's minutes
on a bright side, it happened in the early half of the season, we should have enough time for James to heal and come back before playoff.
I have to agree with you on this. I was dreading that something like this could happen what with all the minutes he's logged and him having to score 40+ points just to keep them in games. He's going to be gone for awhile so now we get to see how MDA deals with adversity. It should be interesting.
This really blows. Season with so much promise seems to be unraveling. Like most here I got used to Harden playing 81-82 games a season. Dude was/is a machine. BUT, while he is not old. He isn't 22-23 anymore. He will wear down and start to experience issues such as this. Hopefully he doesn't push it and if he does the coaching staff has the stones to sit him.
Ugh. Should have known with the Astros WS that the Rockets would be cursed. CP3/Green/Gordon...could really use 1 more decent guard off the bench to keep these guys minutes as low as possible. That's an insanely thin rotation that will have heavy minutes for 2 guys with extensive injury histories. Just a decent vet PG that can give 10 mpg. Deron Williams available? I just want 1 month of a fully healthy team heading into the Playoffs. Giving CP3 extended time to get familiar with rotation could end up proving beneficial.
I want him to layoff the strip clubs as well. Don't want to risk those trashy hoes messing with his healing.
