MDA needs to be smart here and NOT shorten the rotation. This is when we bring out all the reserves and extend the rotation. Until Moute comes back, we need to be giving Green, Zhou, and even Weber some minutes. None of this 8 man rotation BS.
Yep, didn't look good the way he was walking. He won't be back before ASG break. I'd shoot for a month before playoffs, mid March, to start a slow buildup.
We'll never know. What we know is that Harden's body and muscles are made of granite and he's probably in his best physical shape ever. Very much doubt it is related with that. Muscle injuries are often related with muscle fatigue. And he's been playing also with other type of annoyances... Maybe you can play through them, but your body is balancing with other parts. It's also Morey's fault for not having a reliable 3rd PG / ball handler on a 15 player roster. The injury could have also happened with a perfect use and management of his body, injuries happen. But Rockets were playing with fire with him for long time. We're lucky he's that tough and is a minor injury.
Probably closer to FOUR weeks. Luc should return in about a week, but life without Harden will be a challenge regardless. Paul is probably not 100 and he shouldn't be playing 32+ minutes. So weird seeing James injured. If Gordon can find his stroke and Paul/Capela mostly play, we can survive real well. Luc incoming soon.
Let's hope LMaM returns soon to offset this loss. We need some scoring but we also need defense in the absence of scoring.
Excessive volume and muscle fatigue are definitely risk factors for hamstring injuries, along with anterior pelvic tilt. It may not be ALL on MDA, but he certainly didn't help the situation by being short sighted.
ok, thats bad. Harden never had to deal with an injury before. Hope he's not gonna slip to bad habits
Would rather not run Paul into the ground and break him for a regular season game with minimal meaning. I think our priorities just shifted from home court to health and a playoff berth
It’s best to take it slow. His game relies a lot on sudden stopping after explosion. Need the hammy for both. Worst case is rush him back and it gets worse.
I mean, I have cooled on the MVP debate since the disastrous Celtics game, but he wouldn't necessarily be out of the Race. Harden could come back in time to remind people how good he is. Last year Harden was overtaken by Westbrook because all of the bullsh*t that happened at the end of the season.
