Please not Hoyer; I will throw up if I see him in a Texan uniform again. Surely Savage is gone.

The tweet by Ricky smits brother makes me question if it's true or not. Why is he so tapped in and vocal now or maybe it's cause I've never really seen his tweets before.

It's obviously not true. There wasn't gonna be a show down when Rick was planning a leave of absence.

The question is where it came from and why the media reported it

Its only a question if you really believe any of these tweets/hot-takes/breaking news reports to begin with.

You initially state that you hate "leaks" and you see right through them.... yet you seemingly overreact to each/every one, and claim they have the ultimate power to sway hiring/firing decisions.

These leaks have been bad enough that Rick's brother felt he had to comment and say they are fake.

It's fair to ask why the media keeps reporting them every year, specifically about Rick and O'Brien not getting along and a front office shakeup coming.

I've been pointing out that these leaks are lies coming from someone with an agenda, and Rick's brother just confirmed it.

Frankie has always been "tapped in" and vocal... just vocal about everything, which makes him hard to follow if all you're interested in is sports. Always strong/proud in support of his brother.

Solomon has hate in his heart for O'Brien.

With the terrible news that Texans GM Rick Smith is taking a leave of absence to help care for his seriously ill wife, Houston owner Bob McNair and coach Bill O’Brien will meet today to discuss O’Brien’s future and his request/demand for a change in the football structure of the team. I hear McNair is going to agree with at least some of O’Brien’s requests, and it’s likely now that O’Brien will stay, particularly with Smith’s future understandably cloudy. McNair doesn’t want to lose both men in the same year.

The Texans have plenty of "sources" within the organization that have been known to be friendly with certain media members. Lance commented how in some cases, these guys would tell a certain media member one piece of information and then directly go and contradict that to another member.

Basically, in regards to Texans leaks... you really can't put a whole lot of stock in any of it. The fact that you're living/dying with every tweet makes you part of the problem. Houston media is certainly soft... but apparently the fans are even more sensitive?

The "leakiest organization in football" managed to keep a lid on the worst news possible for months...

And everybody in the media selling headlines from one and two years ago have a lot of explaining to do.

People knew something was up -- but those who extrapolated headlines from that were doing nothing more than making isht up out of thin air. I fell for some of those... and that's on me. I'll be more discerning in the future with many: local print/radio ( which I rarely ever listen to anymore) and national guys.

Give me one other coach besides Jon Gruden to run this football team right now!

Given that BOB doesn't do anything at all well, why would it matter who you picked to replace him? Hell give the job to Vrabel and bring in someone competent to run the offense and you are likely better off. Hell just name RAC the head coach and bring in a competent O coordinator.

Congrats you didn't say Gruden because the Tampa Bay job did not open for him. Giving the job to Vrabel is a joke. I guess you love to see a dysfunctional football team. The fact of the matter is Bill O'Brien is the best suited head coach for this team moving forward.

Bill O'Brien is a joke....at least if Vrabel or RAC were named head coach you'd be able to bring in someone that could run an offense at a competent level. As it stands, we'll just see more incompetent play calling, clock management, and just hold out hope that Watson will be good enough to overcome the disadvantage of bad coaching.

Which play call was it that caused Watson’s injury?
