I can think of many positive and negative things. Many have been hashed over and over in this and other threads countless times. The question is can you name anything positive?
Bringing Crennel and Vrabel Drafting Watson, Fuller and Cunningham Extending Mercilus and Hopkins That's about it. The bad roster moves have far outweighed the good.
Fair enough. I saw enough of a glimpse of what the Texans offense might look like before Watson got hurt. I don't want to throw that out the window because of a season with devastating injuries through out the roster. There is no guarantee whoever comes in here can replicate that success. I know you are going go to say he just they just ran the Clemson offense, and anyone can do that. Maybe so, but I still would rather stick with something I know worked, than go with the unknown. I also like that his team wins ugly games. That's how they got each of those 9-7 seasons. I think that those teams showed a lot of toughness to gut out those wins even though they had bad to mediocre quarterbacks. Finally there are not a lot of good coaching candidates out there right now. The best are Jon Gruden, and he wants to go to Tampa Bay. Jim Harbaugh has pissed people off wherever he has gone. Nobody else jumps out. It seems best to let him finish out his contract and see what he can do with Watson for 1 year.
If Harbaugh comes here and gives us 3 or 4 good years that is fine. He has won pretty much everywhere he has been.
Harbaugh would be amazing. But both Rick and O'Brien would fight it, and McNair is too weak willed to make his own decisions
He’s never won anything significant where he’s gone. He also ends up burning all bridges and pissing everyone off when he leaves. He’s become the most overrated football coach, do not want.
Still long to see him under the kubiak system, which we got glimpses of. Nobody hides the ball better on play action than Watson. He's a magician.
Kubiak is actually available and said he would return for an OC job. If only we had a competent owner.
I would make kubiak my GM. His system allowed for some of the best talent we've had. He knows what he wants. O'brian's system, he never knew what he wanted, "week to week" like they do in chowderville. That only works because of TB12. Healthy, I think this will be one of the best rosters in the league. People don't mention how destructive that Duane Brown situation was. (another kubiak find). A really good left tackle solidifies that entire side. The malcontent made it more difficult going forward for us.
I honestly feel bad for Watson being stuck with an incompetent coach for another season. Hopefully they dump BOB before Watson wastes too many seasons.

I agree. Not securing a left tackle or securing Duane Brown was the biggest downfall this season. Not AJ Buoye. But let's just chill on Kubiak. How soon we forget the rough years so easily. Duane Brown and Deshaun Watson was found under Rick Smith's watch with two separate head coaches. Kubiak struggled without Wade and then a couple years after Wade he lost the locker room.
They were below average, got worse as the season went on, and that offense was horrendous in the playoffs. They won cause their defense carried them.
Would they have even made the playoffs if BOB was coaching them? Almost certainly not. The dropoff in offense would have had them on the outside looking in. So when you say that the offense had nothing to do with it, you fail to realize that while their offense was not good, if not for Kubiak getting the most out of it, the Broncos are sunk.
