This a caveman take on foreign policy.

I'm just disappointed there wasn't a travel ban before RussianLegend showed up. Thanks, Obama.

Obama got the Iranian gov't to give up their nukes. Trump got the Iranian people to hate him and America more.

You've gotta respect anyone who stands up against a Theocracy, especially when that Theocracy is run by "the religion of peace". Hopefully not too many of those out protesting get murdered by the religious dictatorship.

That idiot is helping the Iranian regime which his stupid tweets - he's giving them the pretext to claim the protests are American designed and Trump is behind it. Such a stupid man.

Reality is that Iranians thought life would get better after the nuclear deal - with all the sanctions lifted. But they are not. because the sanctions were not the only issue, corruption was rampant. Iranians are protesting against a corrupt gov't. With Trump interfering he is helping the clerics argue that Trump and the protestors are aligned and thus a single enemy. Trump is truly a moron.

You've gotta be a troll because no one just blindly supports a person, in this case Trump, and lashes out at the slight negativity towards said person. Every single president has faults, some less than others, but Trump just like any human being makes bad decisions from time to time. I don't think I've ever even seen you post a single negative thing about Trump so yea you've gotta be trolling.

This isn't much of an argument you are making, but I'll bite.

When you give money to a regime they become stronger and more entrenched. So for example, if you lift sanctions on Iran which in turn gives the regime 100 billion dollars to fund more terrorism around the world, that's supporting the regime.

Obama was the iran regime's best friend. He gave them whatever they wanted. He wanted to befriend these evil monsters to try and stop any escalation to war so he let them walk all over him. Neville Chamberlain style.

It's funny that you say that because this board has/had a lot of members who blindly supported the last president and they will/would lash out against anyone who brings up ANY criticism, no matter how obviously valid. I mean, of course the Trump version of Obama fanboys will exist.

The idiots who rolled around wearing stupid crap like this

Trump could have been silent like Obama was in 2009 and the Iranian government will still spread their propaganda and blame the US for meddling. The difference is that Iranians are now smart enough to see through government propaganda and lies. Trump speaking out gives the protesters legitimacy.

Tell me this, why are the majority of Iranian Americans thrilled that Trump is speaking out? Do you think you know better than them?

Personally, I really like Obama and really dislike Trump, but on foreign policy, Trump comes out ahead so far.

False. I suggest you read about the deal's sunset clauses. The deal is a legal path for Iran to get the bomb. Even if you assumed Iran will follow the deal (they wont), they still get to keep building the bomb. Obama did this to make the current, evil regime happy. His position is if we are friendly with these psychos they won't attack us.

That's what makes these protests such bad news for democrats and obama. The Iranian people are denouncing the government obama propped up.

I really hate that in the end of his first year of his presidency, we are forced to evaluate whether its better to be chaotic, confusing, unstructured, and often unprofessional/juvenile vs. overly risk adverse & cautious when it comes to foreign policy.

Most objective people a year ago, if you gave them honesty pills, would have said that Trump's nature of chaos actually might work in foreign policy out of the sheer fact that it is different than what we've tried the past 30 years going with the Madman theory, but no American should be like yes "Chaos, juvenile tweeting, mixed messages, and threatening nuclear war works!!". Its an embarrassing way to operate any organization or government and the shtick will only last so long.

There are so many other ways to be a "disruptor" without being a global embarrassment & a threat to world war. If we don't end up getting annihilated in a Nuclear Holocaust folks will say "See.. it worked"... but leaving out the fact that Trump & his followers were so willing to not even consider the calculated risks in how they operate.

Sure he's right about Iran, but its the opposite of what he promotes with his own F-ing country because HE is in charge here.

With Israel, its impossible to see what comes of his decision. Again, everyone else is operating with some level of risk assessment, and Trump has no concept of risk. Maybe it works in the end, but its not out of competence... Most of the world just wants another approach to peace & resolution that doesn't involve incompetence & extreme risk.

And its not a fair assessment to say that this madman approach has somehow worked out for Trump in the past. The guy has been a massive failure in business over and over the past 20 years. He's really good at being a celebrity in the tabloids... really bad at running a business that benefits anyone other than Donald Trump.

I see no evidence yet that the world is suddenly going to benefit from a crazy narcissist having the most power in the world, but do see the short term affects of "disrupting" the norms of global foreign policy. Long term we have to see what the affects are, and if any REAL policy can come out after the dust settles that creates stability to build on, but for now the disruption is certainly having impact many will see as a STEP in the right direction. What the madman does after is the real question.
