Call me crazy but I'm with Bobby. Rick Smith was not the problem with this team. He was OK as GM and seemed to be improving lately with all the wheeling and dealing he was doing these last couple years. He was bold and finally succeeded in doing the most difficult thing a GM could do and that is get a franchise QB. This to me is a worst case scenario. Lose a competent GM and keep an awful head coach with increased powers. Let's hope for the best, but I for one am worried.
I think Rick sucks, but I agree with you on O'Brien. He's awful and looks like he's gonna get more power because McNair is weak.
I nearly blew a gasket reading this It's going to really funny next year when BoB comes back and nothing much changes and all of the BoB butt kissers (like the fools currently on KILT) get to act "surprised".
He won't be able to leak against Rick anymore. I think O'Brien finally scared McNair into giving him more power.
All the leaks about him being the #1 coaching candidate around the league who could leave and instantly find another job. How he was unhappy with Rick and would give McNair an ultimatum tomorrow. McNair is too scared of change, finally caved to the unsubstantiated rumors
