i'm saying it doesn't matter. if we ruined / are ruining the planet so what. it's too late so better to deal with the chaos then try to reverse it because I don't think we can.
It's not a binary thing. The more CO2 we dump the more severe the economic and humanitarian impact. Also, reducing CO2 emissions buys us time to better deal with the chaos. Oceans rising 1 inch a decade is a big difference than rising an inch a year. There is economic advantage to slowing warming. We need to give technology and science time to find solutions - it's not easy. We need to give the world time to build flood proof cities. We may not be able to reverse it but we can dampen it and better adopt. Right now ignoring it doesn't even let us invest in tech to solve the problem. Instead our president wants to invest in coal and take money away from the solutions, putting the rest of the world as the leader and the US now playing catch-up. That's a very unwise strategy for our economic future.
No one is asking you to think of these solutions. You aren't a scientist or engineer. Of course you don't know the means.
When you don't understand something, fall back to what work for you - common sense. If not for the old ultra reliable common sense, we would still think the Earth is flat and is the center of the universe.
A lot of ignorance in this thread. The smart observer notices a few things: 1) Europe - the group that is by far pushing "climate change" the hardest - has economic incentives to do so, as they are a resource poor continent. 2) China and India have to fix pollution (the astute observer knows the difference between pollution and CO2) because their people are getting sick due to disgusting levels. A side benefit of fixing pollution is reducing CO2 (coal fired power plants), so they're on board, too. Plus the ridiculous Paris agreement didn't have any teeth for China/India, so why not join, to avoid lefty ridicule? 3) Don't forget the effects of innovation...remember the US didn't agree to Kyoto, but was the first to hit the reduction targets...because we innovate. Think bigger, folks...
it's as if @fchowd0311 @txtony spout incoherent made up bullshit so they can masturbate while admiring a pic of themselves
A fun easy read. Enjoy and don't get so angry. Doing so is no good for that common sense. http://www.cracked.com/article_17142_5-ways-common-sense-lies-to-you-everyday.html
Get back to work man. The world needs your common sense engineering talent to tell the world that there is no tangible method to remove C02 from the atmosphere and that all hope is lost .
What does it show for the entire world? Or am I wrong and everyone here should be only concerned with what is happening locally?
So because the US got a cold front, does that mean that the million plus people who moved to Damascus were able to move back to rural areas and start thriving again... bringing an end to the Syria-Arab Springs conflict in the middle east?
Nothing you have stated is actually remotely true. I think you should stop reading alt-right garbage for news man.
Do you understand why your posting that shows how stupid you are? Of course not! My god you're an idiot. Please for your sake stop posting crap out of context. Read the next post from the guy and what does he say? He's talking to you Rojo. The guy you just quoted just said that you don't understand science ok? So it's time to STFU
