Robert Mueller, Former F.B.I. Director, Is Named Special Counsel for Russia Investigation

This is pretty clear evidence that it was in fact George Papadapolous’ big mouth that jump started the investigation by the FBI via our friends from none other than Australia.

NOT the Dossier.... even though it probably wouldn’t be inappropriate for the FBI to have started an investigation via Steele’s memos since a lot of it is easily verifiable and is legit intelligence even if some of it is unverifiable at the moment.

The entire GOP strategy up to this point is to say

-The Dossier is proven false (it’s not)
-Clinton funded it (actually funded by Devin Nunes’ donor originally)
-the FBI ,driven by Obama, used said Dossier as proof to start an investigation as insurance if Trump wins (turns out it was Paps mouthing off to the Aussies).

I’ll keep waiting for the apologies from the GOP and the Trump fans for their smear attack on the FBI.

 

Important lesson to trump, his campaign and administration... if you are going to collude with the Russians, don't drink.

 

And I guess we now know why he blew that gasket...

 

When the Australians care more about the preservation of our Democracy than Trump officials and now the GOP....

The Australians called our law enforcement after they found out from Paps that Russia was meddling... Trump officials DID NOT.

At the very least Trump is a highly unpatriotic American despite his involvement in Russia’s involvement in our elections. You just can’t debate that anymore seriously unless you really think Paps, Don Jr, Kushner, Manafort, etc never said a word to Trump.

 

Hmm... suddenly, they have nothing to say...

This is absolutely brutal. Luke Harding, author of NYT best selling book 'Collusion: Secret Meetings, Dirty Money, and How Russia Helped Donald Trump Win', gets dismantled. He tries to GIsh Gallop (like many here) and gets embarrassed.

 

How close are we to the economy totally collapsing? I know must of you guys are rooting for some campaign collusion.

We can probably get the stock market to crash with a few more false stories and luck.

OK, trump colluded with Russia, but we can't investigate him for fear we will crash the stock market.

 

I have supported the investigation many times on here.

I am in the minority in that I hope he is able to finish his term and one of the main reasons is because of the chaos that our country would fall into if he doesn't.

It is disappointing that everyone gets so excited over news like that Ross fella put out there.

 

at least his daughter's FAILED diamond jewelry 'business' isn't being linked to fraud in dubai by the bank there. it could be they're just tremendous people who give anyone a chance at big deals or they're naive or pure coincidences since the 70s.

 

Trump is the reigning king of false stories, somehow that doesn't bother you so much. How odd.

 

Conjecture from unnamed sources... and you're saying it's pretty clear evidence. Sheesh.

 

It's kind of funny that the same people who suggest that conjecture from unsourced BS is "pretty clear evidence" are the same people who deny the pretty obvious shenanigans that went into getting Hillary off the hook for clearly breaking the law. In one instance actual evidence isn't "pretty clear evidence" and in the other instance unsourced rumors and conjecture is enough to count as "pretty clear evidence"

Tribalism is a weird thing.

 

Sources who plead guilty are actually named.

Papa is in big ****ing trouble, as are others in that slimy group.

For the good of the country, I hope the worst of this sad story is over and the investigation can close. Knowing the slimy life story of 45, I'd sadly give the short version long odds.

 

Keep living in denial, or some fantasy land if you want. Its clear evidence ASSUMING that the report is accurate of course. However...the NYT would have little reason to fake this story since it would very easily be disproven in the near future. The Australian diplomats that were at this party can't be that hard to track down, and find out their identities. If the Republican hacks like Devin Nunes want to try and disprove it, they should track them down and find out what the truth is. Either the Aussies were there with Paps, and called the FBI or they didn't. Can't be that hard to find out.

Call Nunes' office and put in a request to have him get to the truth... or the alternative truth you want them to make up.

Ask him to issue a subpoena. Since he obviously doesn't care about the fact that he is supposed to be recused from this investigation. Go for it bud.
