if Harden replaced Curry in 2015 or Durant in 2017 GSW still champs who can lead this roster and elite-playmaker dependent & 8-man rotation coach to a championship?? right now, Harden's more championship material than the team and coaching around him there's no way the rockets get closer to a championship by trading harden they will have to take a step or couple of steps back first
If Harden replaced Curry in 2017, the Warriors would still win the championship but I don't agree with you about 2015 Warriors. Curry was a trancedent shooter that the Warriors would lose if they swapped Harden with Curry. Also Curry isnt prone to falling apart when he is pressed which signficantly helps in crunch time situations.
I’m not saying that we should only trade Harden. I’m saying we should blowup the whole thing and start fresh, including management. Let’s be honest, we have no chance against the Warriors in a 7 game series, and I’m not sure if anyone in the league has a chance and it’s going to be like that until the team breaks up. I’m saying that we should prepare for when they do breakup. How? Trade everyone for a lot of first round picks, and also some young talent.
Curry wasn't relied to have an MVP calibre game every single game in the playoffs in 2015 because he had Klay, Green, Barnes, AI, etc we really have to see hoe many games Curry wasn't the best player in their wins in 2015? so who will get this team/coaching closer to a championship then?
so you're basically admitting the current team built around harden players anc coaching aren't close to championship material anyway so we just tank and rebuild
The way the Warriors run their offensive sets and the way Curry is often used, Harden just simply can't play that type of game. It would ruin their entire offensive sets .
Only because the Warriors are on a whole new level of greatness. If we had this team 2 years ago, it would be a completely different story.
so Harden can't play off ball like he did in OKC? he's as smart as MDA and CP3 not some Westbrook he had to be an elite playmaker because of what he had not because that's the only thing he can do
He didn't even come close to the level of off the ball movement that the Warriors constantly set up in half court sets. Have you seen a Warriors game? Do you see how many times Curry runs around screens? You are a delusional man if you think Harden can run off the ball like that. He just can't. Do you watch him play when he doesn't have the ball in his hand?
yeah in OKC so the past years before we got CP3, if harden did run around circles, who will pass the ball to him? why do you think curry runs? to get just a little bit of space right? once he gets space he can shoot right? so what do you suggest? who do we trade harden to?
You are insufferable when it comes to Harden. I never suggested we Trade him. The dude has some severe deficiencies for a NBA superstar guard. Deal with it.
never said he was perfect can you think of a superstar who has less flaws than him that gets us closer to a championship?
As in in the entire league or available? I never said there is a better available superstar. As a fan, this is the hand we are delt. We aren't getting a better superstar than Harden besides maybe LeBron but that doesn't mean that Harden is automatically good enough to be the best player on a championship team especially in this era. But in terms of all NBA players, Curry and Durant are the other obvious choices.
Houston trades: James Harden for Boston trades: Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart (cap filler), Aron Baynes (cap filler), Lakers 2018 1st round pick, Kings 2019 1st round pick, Clippers 2019 1st round pick, and the Celtics 2022 1st round pick. (Might have to remove one of these picks) Houston trades: Chris Paul for Denver trades: Jamal Murray, Kenneth Faried (cap filler), and the Nuggets 2020 first round pick if we're lucky. Houston trades: Eric Gordon for New Orleans trades: Ian Clark, Alexis Ajinca (cap filler), and the Pelicans 2021 first round pick. (could maybe squeeze out another pick because they want another wing scorer) Houston trades: Ryan Anderson for ANY PICK WE CAN GET Houston trades: PJ Tucker for Detroit trades: Luke Kennard and a future second round pick. (First round pick if we're lucky) Houston trades: Trevor Ariza for Toronto trades: Pascal Siakam (cap filler), and a future first or second pick. Houston trades: Mbah a Moute for Cleveland trades: 2022 first round pick or to the Warriors for a 2022 first round pick (Moute would make a fine addition to any true contender) Everyone left and the cap fillers should be on the table for picks. Pay Capela and develop Jamal Murray and Jayson Tatum into competent star players. OR We lose in the second round for the next 6 years and never get on the Warriors level.
