I'm not basing it on this thread. Look at trading volumes in general. Look at the # of new accounts on various exchanges, the media attention, the # of exchanges supporting alt currencies, etc. The last thing I want to do is get into SIL stupidity, but serious question. You believe VEN is the next big thing - fair enough and there's legitimate, sound reason behind it. But you've been working a few weeks to get a few thousand $ into VEN to be part of a masternode, moving money to Coinbase, etc. If you had invested even just $1000 in these alts earlier this year, you're likely sitting on $100K or more. In that case, why wouldn't you take a small fraction of the gains, convert to BTC and buy VEN and build a masternode yourself instantly, instead of spending weeks trying to get money into Coinbase or what not and worrying you missed out and couldn't get VEN in time, etc? I don't doubt many people had *heard* of alt currencies long ago or even thought it would be cool to invest in them. What I doubt is that they were throwing real money into them trying to make themselves into millionaires. That's the part that has changed, and that's why the gains will be much harder to come by. EDIT: the other, much simpler, way to look at it is market cap. The marketcap of alt-coins has surged over the last month. That happens because of new demand - that's the clearest indication that tons of people have started exploring this area now that weren't there months ago. Or just look at this: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?q=altcoin
Sure. It's called speculation. Speculation is volatile, especially when valuations are not based on any sort of substance and move drastically on any rumor or government action. If you actually were a trader of any sort (or even just a regularly mildly educated person), you'd know these things. You strike me as very, very good at repeatedly reaffirming your own stupidity and getting caught in your web of lies. In the case of last night, it was likely panic in response to South Korea threatening to regulate or shut down local cryptocurrency exchanges.
Again, I'll extend it to you like I did to Yung and jbuckets. If I post my screenshots of BSDs holdings with large size and I'm right, you leave this board forever. Im leaving my job as a trader at a major to go to a small fund trading the same thing in a new city. If I post some form of credentials, you three leave this board forever. And do not personally harass me. You down? SIL
Yeah buddy I get buckets. That's right. Glad you came to your senses You started this bro haha. Don't get your panties in a wad, and to be frank nobody cares a single bit about you to harass you. We were all here before you, and will continue to be here after you. We got nothing to prove or admit; the opposite for you. So suck it up, or stop waving you d**k around when you got no balls to back it up. Heh.
I said it's a buy, but others would give you more gains shortterm, which was proven right in Dec. But you've shown signs of zero reading comprehension in every post, so aight. Because it's fckin crypto and everyone knew we were up for a correction? Stick to traditional stocks if you can't grasp the easiest basics of this market.
Think you try to simplify the thoughts of many people here. Everyone is stating they're 100% prepared to lose everything and every percent earned is a bonus, no one is saying 50x is low or that we'll see the same returns next year. I'd never say this or that crypto is the next big thing or that anyone here will get rich. Already said I only invested little money this year because of my financial situation, which has changed. 100% transparent so not sure why you have to ask. As you said, of course more people are getting into this now because of the 2017 gains, but if you checked social media then you had these "which are the most promising alts" threads etc with hundreds of comments and people throwing serious money into these. Just check threads from the past year and you'll see. I think you're only noticing how huge alt talk is all year because more people have entered this game and you're paying more attention to every aspect. The hunt for the next 0.01cent to multiple digits coins has been around for years and everyone who was serious about crypto looked heavily into them. Never said it wouldn't be more difficult next year or that we'll see similar gains, you seem to think that people here are somewhat delusional and idiotically thinking that everyone will be a millionaire soon. Understand that you want people to be cautious, but I don't for a second think that people here are dreamers who think this will work forever. Everyone is only investing what he can easily afford.
Brah Let's take pictures of our balls and compare. If I'm bigger, you cut yours off. If yours are bigger, I'll cut mine off. Straight up. Btw, anyone having issues with gemini today? SIL
He means everyone can afford to lose. Afford to lose. ****ing irresponsible advice left stated like that. @Mathrocker i got your back on this. Ignore that broke fool. I spoke ripple into a booming existence. SIL
Were you holding in ripple before this wave? Im not caught up on every coin people have pumped in this thread
