Wording is BS. Replay the call to make the correct one; not the less wrong one. It'd be admitting the ref was wrong but like in that warriors Cavs game, Steve javie even fronted. Get that sellout off the air. SIL
I'm going by what former referee Steve Javie said when JVG asked him his opinion. It's not something I came up with. He has always seemed fair and objective so I put a lot of weight on his take moreso than biased fans or disgruntled ex-coaches. One last thing I will point out is that although LeBron gets defended aggressively and perhaps some of it can be called fouls, he also commits a ton of offensive fouls by the letter of the rules when he extends his arm to push away opponents and never gets called on it. It goes both ways.
GS has gotten every bs call in the 4th quarters the past couple weeks since curry went out. too much $ invested in their success for the league to let them slip out of 1st seed contention
You're entitled to your opinion, but honestly, Javie isn't going to throw current refs under the bus, when he gets that 1 minutes of screentime. If the foul was called on Durant, you can bet Javie would be saying "that was definitely excessive contact." I think 99 times out of 100, these "ask the former ref" segments side with whatever the refs call.
The issue is not just this particular call. I can grudgingly accept that yeah, it could go either way even on replay. The problem is that even if it was 100% clear, they still could NOT have changed it. That's a BS rule JVG was talking about.
Shocker! Durant fouled LeBron down the stretch! http://official.nba.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2017/12/L2M-CLE-GSW-12-25-2017.pdf 01:12.0 Durant (GSW) makes body to body contact with James (CLE) that affects his SQBR. 00:27.0 Durant (GSW) makes forearm contact to James (CLE) that affects his SQBR at the start of his drive to the basket. 00:25.6 Durant (GSW) makes contact to James' (CLE) arm and body that affects his driving shot attempt
