Yes, we need his young energy. Younger teams are tough for rockets to keep up with. Ariza and harden should be below 35 minutes a game when Paul gets back.

He doesn't shoot because he bricks layups more than Austin Rivers.

It is really a 9 man rotation with: Harden/Paul/Ariza/Anderson/Capela/Gordon/Moute/Tucker/Nene.

Still, at a MINIMUM the Rockets need another player added to the mix getting 20 minutes a night. The hope is that player comes in a trade or buyout but that is still some time away.

Honestly Paul needs the Tony Parker treatment, and play 25-28 minutes the night, and Harden needs to be playing 32-33 minutes a night.

The Rockets develop players fine, but they don't play their young guys to give them a shot to earn minutes. A byproduct of playing your starters 3-5 minutes a night is developing young players. Look at what the Spurs have done; Kyle Anderson, Bryn Forbes and Dejounte Murray all have become solid rotation players.

Hopefully when veteran buyouts happen we can get someone more servicable.

that's what basically setting Morey/MDA apart from Kerr and Pops. their deep 12+ players who can be relied upon to step up anytime

Morey/MDA pretty much relies on their 8.5 solid rotation (Nene is creditted half since he can't play every single game)

that won't do thru a 110 reg season & playoffs games.. with our 2nd best player 32 years old injury prone and our most used player 32 years old

and everyone else injury prone and 29+ years old.

The reason SA and GS have deep benches is because Pop and Kerr give burn to the Pat McCaw’s of the world when they don’t necessarily need to.

Real game time is key to development even if it’s a few minutes.

I like his hustle, but if that's who we are playing over Bobby Brown and Demetrius Jackson, then they both are a waste of roster space (other than as cheerleaders). He is a complete non-factor on offense.

He's like a longer rookie PatBev. He needs to work on a 3 point shot if he wants to fit into this system though.

Beverley must be Briante's Durantly cousin.

Weber definitely needs to work on his shot and confidence shooting but he is worth playing to develop. Weber plays defense and appears to have play making skills. If Weber can improve his shooting like Bev did I think he can be better than Bev because of his play making ability.

I'm okay with BW. I'm not very impressed, but yeah, I'm okay with him. I don't see him as a future star/consistent role player in this league, but hopefully, I'm wrong. I was thankfully wrong with my opinion of Kyle Lowry, and he's a damn stud in the 6.

I think BW has fairly good handles, and I'm not stressed about him bringing the ball up. But you guys nailed it: his shot/shot selection needs drastic work. Admittedly, I don't know too much about his story, nor have I seen enough tape of his strengths/weaknesses. Morey must have seen something impressive to keep him around for awhile. (SideThought: I still don't see the appeal in T.Black...what am I missing? Wasn't Craig Smith more impressive?)

At the moment, I wish we had Rafer Alston coming off the bench. Those handles were so underrated (ignore Rafer's jumper please lol). He took so much work off of Tmac to handle the ball. I know James likes having the ball in his hands, but I think we could save his energy if CP3 or someone else brought it up and handed it off to James. Those precious seconds of catching your breath add up over time...James could be more explosive (in his unique way) if his dribbling was always INTENTIONAL.

For now, BW is the choice I guess.

He hasn't shot the ball even when he's wide open.

So far in the last two games in a combined 34 minutes he's 1-5 from the field. For a guy averaging 15 minutes in two games, that just won't cut it on this team.

He's playing too timid and referring too much on offense. His defense has been pretty good because he hustles and knows his place/role there. Hopefully CP3 returns soon so we can stop harping on the kids lack of offensive contributions.

As small and slim as he is, he doesn't look that quick or fast from what I'm seeing. Hes not blowing pass anybody out there. Even Jackson shows some quickness and athleticism when he had the chance. I don't mind him playing out there but color me unimpressed. I would've liked to seen Jackson continue to develop. Seemed like more upside to me.
