on defense he got abused by melo tonite. if we end up meeting okc in the playoffs, we're not going to be able to play ryno starter minutes.
Lets be honest, we can't play him vs any top team. He's either not shooting at all or he's getting out rebounded by bigger or even smaller players. Morey has to trade him soon.
I don't know what they can do about him. The problem is we need his ability to spread the floor on offense but it's hard to have 20 million dollars of your salary doing nothing but that most nights (and some nights not even that). And even if there was a best case scenario like Paul George becomes available and the Rockets decide they can play George and Ariza side by side, WHO WOULD TAKE RYNO'S CONTRACT? Two more years at 20 mil per? I think it'll be the 2019 trade deadline before he's really tradeable.
You forgot not defending. Passing open shots. Gets outrebounded by guys shorter than him. Teams attack him on defense because he can't defend. The worst part is that he is eating so much of our salary cap that which we could have used to significantly improve the team. He should be ashamed of himself and donate his salary to teammates that are actually putting in the work.
Worse than that. Ryno will cost us Harden's prime, and CP3's last productive years (if he even stays). It will be the signing to end the Harden era in Houston.
I was defending him earlier this season, but he seems to have completely disappeared on offense. What happened to that one-legged step back jumper that was practically automatic? Why is he hesitating on his catch-and-shoot opportunities? OKC is a really good defensive team, and Anderson is apparently mentally impaired playing in the Toyota Center, so maybe we need to give him another shot on the road against another team.
According to Zach Lowe teams asked for two first rounders last summer to eat his contract, maybe next summer a 1st and fillers like a couple of 2nd rounders will be enough eventually.
the most frustrating thing is, it's all in his head. he has the ability. he just plays like a p***y. like he has so self-confidence in himself. no fire. no intensity. when defense gets cranked up and the game gets physical he wants no part of it and is fine with that.
Ryno needs to realize he isn't LeBron, he isn't Harden, he isn't X. He has nothing else to contribute other than his shooting. He can't play a little more passive and get other guys involved because he has zero court vision, zero ballhandling skills, and he is slow as ****. If he passes up a shot then he is useless. If he cannot score, then he might as well sub himself out.
Loser... Loser... Loser... Pump fake dribble dribble turnover Loser... Loser... Loser... Stumble flail fall down Loser... Loser... Loser... Stuck in concrete Melo bucket Loser... Loser... Loser... Rotate rotate too slow layup Loser... Loser... Loser... Brick bucket brick brick brick Loser... Loser... Loser... Where are our buyout guys? I'm ready for Ryno to drop out of the rotation.
Yeah I just don't understand Morey overpaying for a guy like Anderson. I know they had been interested in Anderson for years but Morey usually doesn't over pay for non-star level players like Anderson. Just not a smart signing that will likely be very costly. I'm hoping for a miracle that they can some how move him and his contract. Would be a shame to let a good opportunity slip away because of a bad contract.
I'm not trying to suck Morey's dick, but i really believe this signing is/was more on Les and MDA, like Lin, there's no way in hell a gm like Morey fights over a 80M contract for Ryan Anderson against the Kings...i know it doesn't even matter at this point, but just saying...
I wish people would stop saying we need to trade Anderson. We tried really hard all summer to trade the guy. We couldn't do it. NO ONE WANTED HIM. We don't have desirable assets to package with him to make a trade. We are stuck with him.
