Probably a fair point but I don’t really eat BBQ often just went cause the kids kept asking to go cause the building looks cool
little rhein steakhouse? easily the best filet mignon I've had anywhere, but op said houston. no love for smith and wollensky anymore? granted it's been a good several years since i've been there, but i remember it being one of my tops in houston at the time.
Pappas V&A B&B Butchers Steak 48 has been hit or miss but when it's good it's great I've heard amazing things about Killen's STQ but haven't been yet One Fifth was bad ass. Fortunately it looks like Chris Shepperd is making the steakhouse a permanent concept where underbelly currently is.
going to pappas tonight. super excited. its supposed to be one of the best steakhouses in the country.
New theme was a dud. It's romance based and flopped. Chris Shepherd reminds me of a fat sleezeball. SIL
Ive always thought Pappas was overrated. Ive probably been 5 times and although it's good, I just feel like Ive had tastier steaks elsewhere. Killens and Steak 48 better imo. Vic & Anthony's solid too. The Porterhouse at Del Friscos Double Eagle might be the best porterhouse I've ever had.
Chris is actually a cool dude. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting him a few times from my previous job and he was always funny and down to earth. His kitchens are very well run. To the post. Pappas is always great. If you want something more affordable let me know what side of town and I can give some recommendations.
Conroe... Brick tavern was great, but it’s been 6 years since I’ve been there. Woodlands. Fielding’s uses 44 farms which is my favorite beef company. Not expensive either.
