    It is obvious what happened last night: with our game being on ESPN and immediately followed by Lakers at Warriors, the memo was out that this game was NOT to go to overtime. So once a team (the Clippers in this case) got a late lead, every call went their way to assure the game would finish in regulation.

    That being said, we did not deserve to win that game.

    We are in the habit of playing down to our competition in early parts of the game and 'turning it on' in the last several minutes.

    That can work at times when the other team is unmotivated. In last night's case we were facing several former players. Also, 'chip on the shoulder' players like Rivers sensed our lack of effort and capitalized.

    We were shorthanded without Capela and Paul but we clearly thought we could cruise through the first 3 quarters.

    Hopefully we are learning a lesson that we have to PUT TEAMS AWAY from the start.
