I'm only addressing the part that is related to cyberx because of his credibility. That doesn't mean it's going to come true. Cyberx is just passing on information that he has heard. Bottom line for me is not to trade Capela/Anderson for DJ.

At least we know our future starting center can hit Free throws down the stretch!

He looked pretty good, he completely anchored their D.

Really wish we had Capela so we could have seen how they looked against eachother.

A lot of y'all are underrating DeAndre. He's a very good center, and I'd say he's marginally better (still) than Capela. Now I'm not sure I'd rather have him than Clint moving forward considering their age difference, but if we are going "all in" next year I'd consider it. Capela has had some great games this year, but he's also playing with Harden and CP3. His rim protection has been inconsistent and overall defense pretty average for a center, which is where DeAndre beats him. Free throws are about even this season. Capela is more skilled offensively around the basket on shots that aren't dunks, but DeAndre is stronger around the rim and dunks everything. He's also a bit better of a rebounder.

Tough choice but DeAndre ain't no scrub.

I never want to lose Capela. But if we have to in order to sign a Lebron James, well, okay. Capela really needs to get paid this offseason. He's earned his payday. I hope he'll be able to get it with us in whichever order is necessary while still resigning Paul and going after Lebron. If it just can't work and having Paul and Lebron means we can't keep Capela, DeAndre Jordan would be a great consolation prize.

I guess this is what happens when we become a real contender. Everyone wants to come to Houston. Feels awesome to be a Rockets fan. Thanks, as always, to Morey for building this team that everyone wants to play for.

Tough choice, but an enviable place to be at. Potential or greater cap flexibility + a sure thing in a center for a few years.

I love capela and the growth hes shown. Its obvious that he works hard because the improvement is incredible. But iam on the same boat...if we cnat keep capela lebron and paul which is the ideal scenerio u have to let him go especially knowing DJ would be the consolation

Capela's cap hold is pretty small. I see no reason why he would have to go if we bring LeBron in. LeBron is going to be a millionaire, surely he can shave $2m off his salary so we can resign Capela with bird rights.

EDIT: LeBron will be a BILLionaire, not millionaire.

How is that possible with DJ's huge 22-24 M contract?

Hes opting out of the contract most likely from what iam reading. Iam not sure how much of a discount hes willing to give us but its probably a discount where we can sign lebron and cp3.

That would be ideal. But everything I’m reading about our chances to land LeBron and re-sign Paul says it relies on us waiving everyone else. If that’s wrong, awesome! Maybe @BimaThug can help here. I desperately want Clint to finish his career as a Rocket because we have no idea what his ceiling is yet, only that he keeps getting better by leaps and bounds. A young Akeem Olajuwon was on approximately the same growth path that Capela is now if memory serves. It would be brutal to let him go only to see him become an Olajuwon for some other team. But if you have a shot at LeBron I think you just have to take it.
