[Educational Post] The steel is already fabricated for the project. It makes no sense to duplicate the manufacturing of the steel and trash what's already sitting on the ground ready to go. This is the difference between a high caliber businessman making a decision and a politician. Reduce waste. Common sense. GOOD DAY
Since when did Trump care about such things? He's all about shoving everything up other country's asses.
President Trump should have read and understood the executive order he signed prior to making that statement, however. Don't you agree that Presidents should understand what they are signing prior to making comments to what is in an executive order or bill?
Except that executive orders don't get "passed". Regardless, presidents should not make definitive statements about bills or executive orders that are simply not true. I assume that would be a non-partisan position that everyone could agree on.
I would agree, and that's why I brought up Obamacare as a reference. It was another scenario where the president came out and lied about a bill or executive order.
This was always the biggest lie by Trump, that he could be both trade protectionist and pro-business. It's just not possible in a global economy.
US manufacturing requires technology to remain competitive in the 21st century. Technology requires skills and knowledge, while the current GOP dogma is all about capital.
Got a tax break. Now if only these companies "trickle" down and stop laying off, start hiring, or provide wage increase. They are going to need it. Safety net isn't going to be a so sure thing, if the GOP gets their way.
