Daryl Morey: Beating Golden State 'the only thing we think about'

Warriors over everything... we must beat em

 

We got Top 5 talent, but not Top 2 because our front court is still lacking more talent. MDA is fine, very good coach but not the best coach in the game, he has to rely on Bzdelik to shore up our D.

I think most teams have to get through adversity in the playoffs together to know how to win it all. Lebron was the only guy who could come in and win it in his 2nd year but with lots of help obviously.

The natural thing is to gather a team for years and not change it up every year.

I think Morey is still after the 3rd star but the time is running out on Chris Paul, he won't be good and durable forever. Harden won't be that good forever.

I think getting Top seed or maintain No. 2 seed in the West is more easily attainable right now than winning it all.

We have a chance to win it all and beat the Warriors, but everything has to click in those 1 or 2 months, everyone has to be healthy.

 

Just play enough starter times to get a first round against the warriors. Got to beat them sooner or later. Save up those legs and reduce risk of injuries for the ultimate goal. Might increase the chances from 90 to 93.4 .

 

well there's been a whole lot of criticism of him this season when CP3 or EGO or both have been out with injury, something any casual nba fan could have seen coming with high probability. so why hasn't he gotten another guard? why are we running an also-injured harden into the ground? i mean the guy signed canaan and then inexplicably dumped him 2 days later. everybody knows pringles is not going to play brown or weber, so this leaves us with 2 guards who can play minutes still 2 months into the season now. absolutely ridiculous. meanwhile GS hasn't just benefited from adding ringchasers. they've developed rotation players in mccaw, bell, and looney who have been helping them all month while they have multiple rotation players out w/ injury as well.

So let me get this straight - bc I'm not absolutely CRUCIFYING morey for not adding a "4th guard" I'm a "whiny little morey fanboy ass-sucker"? Never mind the fact that morey assembled hands down the best 3-guard rotation in the league, it's the fact that he hasn't nabbed that 4th guard 1/3 of the way into the season that should really be what we judge him on, right?

yep just win 1/3rd or 18 of our remaining 52 games, then play our best to beat gsw on the road with a fresh 8-man rotation

this is our best option if Morey/MDA will not do a thing to improve or expand our 8-man rotation

 

I hope we get/ stay healthy bc I think we can beat the Warriors this year.

I didn't say any of those guys have talent. I said Morey is always LOOKING for talent. I have no doubt Morey is looking for possible upgrades right now. There is only so much he can do when we are maxed out on salary. But, I'm sure he's trying to improve the team.

i would like to give him the benefit of the doubt as well, but last season we had a depth problem at center which morey completely ignored even at the deadline. then when nene went out (he's gotten injured 7 years in a row so it's not like this wasn't something foreseeable) we were left with harden guarding the sperms' bigs, which basically sealed our playoffs fate. again i want to believe that morey will get up and do something, but past performance is definitely at least somewhat an indicator of future returns.

 

ooooooh ya tell me more about my "loser mentality" bc i don't call morey out for doing nothing but "just talking as usual.... while we have waste of fuking time deadweight scrubs who can't even sub in for 2min when we're down to just 4 rotation players" or how morey's apparent (according to you) lack of even trying to address our 3rd string center position single-handedly ended our playoff run last year (again, according to you). this is what you call a "reasonable post".

it's almost as if trading for harden and cp3 and signing gordon and luc and pj tucker and nene and ariza and drafting capella never happened - it's that darn 4th guard and 3rd string center that daryl "all talk" morey deserves to be vilified for.
