I see someone has watched the entire run of the History Channel's "The Men Who Built America" I tried to watch an episode Rocketman1981, but it got so annoying the way they kept recapping the previous segment when coming back from commercial. After every comemerical! Half the damn show was recapping what's already been shown previously it was outrageous!

I may ardently disagree with someone, I may pity someone due to their incredible ignorance, I may not suffer fools gladly, and I certainly enjoy expressing my own views, but I don't "hate" anyone here. I put them on ignore if they even approach getting that bad. I've discovered that the ignore feature is a wonderful tool for maintaining BBS sanity. I don't use it too often, however, or this place could get boring.
There really is nothing to be grateful for when it comes to Donald Trump. Wouldn’t matter to me if he won as a “D” or “I” or an “R”. He is a disaster, an embarrassment and his level of incompetence is nothing short of soul sucking. This is far too easy. John D. monopolized the oil industry to such an extent that in 1911 the United States Supreme Court called it a violation of the Sherman Anti-trust Act. That decision declared his actions illegal. There is your "ONE example." All it took was a couple of minutes on google. Like I said earlier, you should really consider broadening your news sources. Same here, from his service in WWII. It enabled the family to purchase the home I grew up in. It enabled Dad, after very hard times during the Depression, to attend college, become a member of the faculty of a major Houston university and eventually a department chair in his '30's (quite an accomplishment. yes, I'm proud of my late father), and to have a very successful consulting business. It is a perfect example of of a highly successful government program. I'm never living under fascist rule, either. Hahahaha. You spent a few minutes 'googling' and think you actually understand a subject. That is completely laughable. Gaining market share to a 90% level (which Standard Oil was at the time) was not illegal. The government deciding that the level was such that it should be broken up was the decision. The googlization of information in which it mainly spits back info based on how you search a subject is creating 5 minute experts when they know nothing of a subject. I hope you will actually learn about a subject at hand and deeply think about something before searching for a few minutes and concluding you know the answer. Google by the way has 90% of search because they're better.
