The money represents the amount of space he takes up under the umbrella. The space he occupies is significantly larger than his impact on the court will ever be.

Right now it appears Anderson is regressing to the means. Hopefully he’ll pick it up in the post season but history isn’t on his side.

he could be making min money and if he played terribly that doesn't give him the excuse to do so. unless that's your view but its definitely not mine.

people who use $ to judge how well a guy can or cannot play makes no sense. hes paid bc he stretches the floor. is he going to have bad games, yep bc hes a role player.

Not interested in what if scenarios. The fact of the matter is that Ryno is not making vet minimum, he’s making all star pay buy giving 7-9 man production.

This sucks because he’s untradable and extremely limited.

Anderson is in a serious slump; all players go through it. He will come around and have a break out shooting night. Even Gordon went through a slump recently and then had the break out fourth quarter. If you have ever played basketball you know that even the best shooters get "off." Shooting is touch and touch is quirky.

if youre not interested in what if scenarios, then dont say hopefully he picks it up in the playoffs and be critical of it. Bc the fact of the matter is is he was not the reason the rockets lost against the spurs

you're jealous of his pay yet all you're doing is complaining without a sensible resolution

apparently its ok for EG to go through that slump bc hes not Ryno. Ryno's standards are much higher -cf's

I’m hoping against hope he picks it up because he’d cost assets to move. We saw that this past off season.

He’s not the sole reason for the playoffs woes but he’s not offering any real solutions while taking up 1/5 of the cap.

As for sensible resolutions... I don’t know what the Rockets can do at this point. The rest of the league knows what Anderson is and they scoff at the notion of saving the Rockets from their mistake without ample compensation. Typically, players at Anderson’s age don’t show marked improvement. If anything they start slowly regressing. Don’t see a solution unless they buy him out or are willing to part with talent.

Ego is a far more versatile player than Anderson. Even during his slump he was productive in other ways. Anderson hasn’t shown the ability to do this consistently

The rest of the league is trying to catch up to what the rockets are doing. that's a big difference. Anderson doesn't rely on athleticism, hes a shooter so idk what regression you're talking about. the funny thing is with his weight loss, he has actually shown improved defense and rebounding this year so that goes against your false theory

Of course you use $$$ to judge a player. Lots of people "strech the floor" you differentiate them by their production and their salary.

Its just flat out dumb not to take salary into account. Are you saying because Austin Rivers is better than Bobby Brown you'd take Rivers at 30M over Brown at vet min?

I dont really understand how you can't see this basic concept. I guess you are really such a hard core die hard fan of Anderson lol.

He did initially but over the past few games he’s regressing back to his career averages. This isn’t shocking. Players his age are what they are.

All nba players eventually go through a regression of skills. Even shooters.

Harden is the reason for the Rockets, not freaking Ryan Anderson.

He has definitely played better this season but his achilles heel of midget mentality and getting shut down by athletic PFs are still there. This does not bode well for his playoff performance I wouldn't be surprised if he posts 3 pt %s in the 20s again like he did last season and for most of his playoff career.

what are you talking about. that has nothing to do with how you can judge how well a player plays or not and what i posted.

if you say someone who makes min money and be sorry as hell and suck and be ok with that. Yeah id say that pretty dumb and stupid

Ryan's gotta step it up. He gave us nothing last game and we desperately needed him to step up in the absence of Capela/Moute/CP3. Very disappointing but we know he disappears for games at a time.

Is it insane to as a 20 mil a year player to pull his weight
Chandler was great on his rookie contract, now he is an albatross and a pariah and a joke.
    why is Anderson so protected?

When your car is running fine people sometimes ignore sounds but once it runs badly you scream WHAT THE F*CK IS THAT CLICKING NOISE!!!!!

Right now Anderson is a part of that noise. MDA's short bench is too.
Tarik and Qi's lack of development too

    everything is out there.
not panicking but aware and noticing
