I support we should abolish federal tax both individual and corporate, that will really make this country great again.

Practical questions now that I'm going to get tax reform regardless: Should I pay my real estate taxes in calendar 2017 so that I can deduct it from my 2017 1040 instead of 2018's? Or does it make no difference? Also, if I'm considering a charitable donation at the end of the year here, should I do that before the end of the year? From my reading, doubling the standard deduction will mean in 2018+ that I need to being a more charitable giver to get any credit at all on my taxes. Do I understand that right?

Good for them, but this could have been agreed on in some respects by the top 2000 US companies before passing to ensure it. Instead they've relied on hopes and dreams of trickle down, and discounted the notion that when polled, the majority of companies will be using it to pay down debt, buy backs, and dividends for their investors.

I wonder if this also has anything to do with the ATT merger that is held up by TRUMPS DOJ in the courts now as we speak. Give us some good PR, and we can speed up your bid to merge with TW.

    Demand. Creates. Jobs.

Maybe one day we'll learn that.

False. non-union employees get the bonus too (1st and 2nd line managers).

'corporations dont give away 200 million for free' . stupid. companies give bonuses to employees all the time.

There is demand.... outside the US where 7 billion reside. Global growth has been picking up after being nearly stagnate post 2007/2008 economic crisis.

AT&T gave out bonuses last year. They give out bonuses every year. Also this was not a PR tweet. IT was a corporate email to employees about to receive a bonus.

Non-union employees get the benefits negotiated by union employees all the time.

    edit:

AT&T's statement released says that all employees who receive the bonus will be union represented, so there goes that.

My guess is that they have everything to do with each other.

So to get that trickle down, all employees just need to unionize.
    Seems pretty clear to me.

Not sure if tax cuts are even related, although won't stop Trump from taking credit.

Especially with a letter from the CEO in Trump's hands by the time that he went to the podium in the Rose Garden. Felt pretty damn orchestrated.

From what I've read, yes, if your SALT deductions usually surpass 10k, pay what real estate you can now. I mailed a check to SF today. More deductions in 2017, while we can.

no it doesn't. I know AT&T employees who are not in a union getting the bonus.

Here is what the email said to employees 'all union represented, non- management and 1st and 2nd line managers' . line 1 and 2 managers are not union. The wording of that sentence is confusing so I can understand people making the mistake. What it means is all union-non-management as well as line 1/2 managers get the bonus.

It was most assuredly a PR tweet along by many other companies. It’s a smart PR move, I just see beyond it.

Morningstar is a great investment resource if you want to see how profitable these companies were last holiday season.

Non-union employees in my experience alway get the pay and benefits negotiated by the union. Your legend grows.
