The comments to that tweet are putrid. NBA fans are the absolute worst when it comes to spewing hot takes and false narratives. You even had a "Rockets" fan in there questioning whether we could play playoff-caliber defense. Give me a ****ing break.

Gordon/Tucker for Paul George makes a lot of sense for both teams. Thunder want longer term deals, Rockets want to create the GOAT team.

    It would be painful, buttttttttt.

    F that.

I'll take lebron. Maybe AD next year.

Win 65 games and people take notice, we will be the prime destination for everyone - Superstars, and ring chasing old vets.
We will have the leverage, you've lost your mind if you think WE need to take a chance on anyone.. THEY need to take less money to play with us and try to win championship.

See no to Anthony Davis. He is too injury prone.

Absolutely, positively NO. Gordon AND Tucker?? For a possible rental?? On a team that's 25-4.....sporting top 5 offense and defense. Come on, guy.

This is interesting. Losing Gordon is tough, though. Even if Hood looks great, he's not going to replace the 6th man easily.

Also, I don't know if Utah would want to trade away Hood or Johnson. They were the reason that they were even in the game last night.

We have no shot at Davis unless we wait 3 years (which is when he'll expire) AND he'll ask to be traded here.

Agree. Why fix something that isn't broken? Let's see what we have this year as is. If we still can't win it all, then look for trades next season.

Why trade for him? When we can get him at the end of the season...if sauces are correct?

PG13 is better than Gordon on both ends of the floor...not sure how anyone could think that Ego is “miles better” offensively

If Gordon is traded for PG, that will be the end of my love for the rockets team.

**** it, do it. The rental thing isn't a problem either, we need the cap space for LeBron anyway

The only player I would give up for a half-year PG rental is Ryno. Replacing Ryno with PG will be perfect for us this year, and even if PG decides to leave next summer, we clear out cap room to sign good players. So it's a valuable trade both short term and long term.

However, I don't see any reason why Thunder will take this deal. If they were to trade PG, the main goal would be avoid the super luxury tax. Taking Anderson's contract will only make it worse, because Ryno has 40M next two years guaranteed, and if Melo decides to opt in his players option, OKC will be doomed not only this year, but also next year. Besides ideally OKC may want to get at least something in return for PG, otherwise they can just let him go in the summer. Anderson, although his work ethic is great, is a negative asset overall because of his overpaid contract.

The only deal that can work, is we trade EG and Ariza to a third team for draft picks and cap room, OKC get the draft picks and cap room, we get PG. But I think this is really to risky for a half-a-year PG rental.
