After Morey fleeced Presti for Harden, Presti has been ****-blocking all Morey's trades. I don't know how many times @Codman has cryptically said someone was in play for the Rockets only for Presti to jump in and steal the guy the Rockets wanted...

After years of stealing the Rockets idea's for revenge for the Harden trade, Presti owes us one.

    Take Anderson, Presti.

Plus, there has been nothing but bad luck in OKC since Presti traded Harden, maybe a lopsided deal in the Rockets favor cures those demons.

Paul George is having a "down" year and is still putting up nearly 20 a game, with 40% three point shooting playing solid defense, including leading the league in steals.

This is playing for Billy Donovan and next to Russell and Melo.

His number might not "improve", but he'd absolutely thrive in this offense fit wise. You literally just have to tell him to do what Ariza does, just better, and he'd do that, lol.

That said, I wouldn't move Eric Gordon for him. He's better than Gordon, but he's a FA where Gordon is on a great deal, and there's something about the kick Gordon gives this team off the bench that is very hard to replace.

But I'd happily move any combo of players not including Harden, CP3, Clint, Gordon if DM could make a deal work - but bearing in mind he's a FA looking to lala land... I don't think there's a meaningful market for him, so you aren't moving a ton.

Maybe Ryno, Luc, Zhou for PG, Patrick Patterson

I almost agree with this... I think OKC will get decent offers for George but I don't think anything beats Anderson/Gordon for PG13 and Patrick Patterson.

Anderson along with PJ doesnt get it done in my opinion but i like the idea of shedding Anderson salary so much so that I would be willing to part with Gordon

I am also under the opinion that our current team as constructed doesn't beat GSW and that PG13 closes that gap.

"if" we win it all this year PG13 and CP3 stay and sign long term

if not we extend CP3 and if PG walks we sign Cousins or better yet Lebron

Not really possible - with George a pending FA, the Thunder aren't going to get a lot for him unless he agrees to a sign and trade and because of his salary a team would have to give up a lot in salary to get him. Anderson would be the only thing on our roster(salaries match almost perfectly as crazy as that sounds) we could trade for and he is generally considered a negative asset so I can't imagine why OKC would do that deal. Any other deal for PG13 would require us to throw in multiple players and gut all of our depth to make salaries match - we would literally be swapping our bench and lineup versatility for OKC's cheapest players + Paul George and as good as PG has been, he isn't worth tearing down the thing that has made our roster special.

It's a shame that we aren't entering into an unprecedented salary cap room spike similar to what GS had when they signed Durant. Such bullshit.

If OKC trades PG, it's because they are giving up on the season and PG is as good as gone. No one will give much for a PG rental. Ryno and a pick would be the best OKC would get.

He'll yeah for Gordon and that's it. This 15 win streak Gordon has contributed to 1 win.

    Thats flat out wrong lol.

Obviously last night was huge but there was also 27 points v pelicans, 22 pts v lakers, and he was hovering around 10-16 points the other games he played

The team is gelling and playing so well that I wouldn't want to shake things up except for a minor move or two (like sending Onaku or Troy Williams out for a draft pick to sign a veteran buyout). I'd trade Anderson for him (similar offensive fit but George has better perimeter D and playmaking), although he's played so well lately that it might not even make sense for a Paul George rental (he's definitely getting the max and we need to resign Capela).

The Thunder should trade him for some young complimentary pieces. Like Victor Oladipo level guys who...oh wait.

Don't see what we can offer OKC that wouldn't leave a big gap to the team. They won't do PG for Anderson straight up. Losing Gordon or Ariza would really hurt us unless we get some sort of replacement in the same trade. Need to involve 3rd team. For example:

HOU gets: Paul George, Hood (expiring), Neto (expiring) => Tucker/PG/Ariza/Harden/Paul death lineup will win us a title; Hood replaces Gordon off the bench scorer role, Neto takes minutes off Harden/Paul keeping them fresh for playoffs
OKC gets: Gordon, Johnson (expiring), O'Neale (salary filler) => 3 shooters (Gordon, Carmelo, Johnson) next to Russ/Adams, good return for expiring PG
Utah gets: Ryan Anderson, 1st from HOU, 1st from OKC => get some picks for their expirings, Ryan is a good fit next to Gobert/Ingles/Sefolosha, gives them much-needed spacing for Mitchell to penetrate

Salaries work as per ESPN http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y8l2f7jv

OKC has no leverage. Everyone knows the possibility of him bolting to LA. We probably get him for Ryan Anderson at worst

oh lawd, we have 3 players like PG, LMBAH, Ariza, and lesser degree tucker. We WANT PGeorge, we need a backup defensive minded big/center to round out the bench, and a true backup point guard. We've been getting killed in the paint when Clint sits
