The FBI fix is in: 'Can't take the risk of a Trump Presidency'

Two FBI officials who worked on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation exchanged text messages last year in which they appear to have discussed ways to prevent Donald Trump from being elected president.

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office — that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok wrote in a cryptic text message to Lisa Page, an FBI lawyer and his mistress.

“It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40,” Strzok wrote in the text, dated Aug. 15, 2016.

Andy is likely Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.

This is the guy that was changing language on Comey's Hillary Clinton statement.

What are the FBI Deputy Director and an Enforcement head talking about a path for consideration? What does he mean that we can't take that risk. What is the insurance policy??

This reinforces what many posters here think. Trump needs to be removed by any means necessary whether he did anything wrong or not. Very, very dangerous for our republic.

Trump is getting so old and fat from the stress of an actual job. He should resign after getting that tax cut.

Not to be shallow or politically incorrect, but this is the ugliest White House in American history. Dan Scavino, Stephen Miller, Sarah Sanders, Wilbur Ross, Steve Mnuchin, Kellyanne Conway, Donald Trump, etc. One woofer after another. We have like three hotties at most: Hope Hicks, Jared Kushner, and H.R. McMaster.

This investigation is a sham. The media is dead silent on this news.

Didn't you already post this stupid crap in another thread? How so many people lost their god damn minds in defense of an ignorant, racist buffoon is just incredible.

Maybe because it was reported, dealt with, and now a week old. Would you also like to talk about why no one is currently talking about the assassination of President Lincoln?

We already had a thread about this, and it was established in that thread how utterly stupid the claim that the investigation is biased based on the firing of someone who wrote a text about their political opinion.

In fact, most reasonable voices concluded that Mueller is going beyond the pale to rid his investigative team of bias. Exhibit A: firing the dude with the biased personal text messages. That's not required by law, and dude was, by all accounts, an excellent professional. But he's off the case.

    Sigh.

If people under 35 can't run for president, people over 65 shouldn't be allowed either. There should be a max age in congress, as well. Have you seen these hearings with Hatch, Grassley, Feinstein, Conyers, etc? They function at a brutally slow level.

I guess voters (especially 50+) don't want to think about this because it reminds them of their own mortality.

LOL so you think it's going "beyond the pale" firing someone that clearly had reason for the DOJ IG to look into in the first place and only fired him after evidence of their obvious conflict of interest was exposed? That's what you think is "beyond the pale"? LOL wow.

You have ridiculously low standards when it comes to this witch hunt.
