Are other teams fortunate the Rockets have had injuries: CP3, Luc MaM, Ryno, Nene Houston would be 23-0 right now
Lol. Who cares. For their first title, Warriors played a NOLA team missing Tyreke Evans, a Memphis team missing Tony Allen (#1 perimeter defender), the Rockets missing Patrick Beverley and Motiejunas (Bev was #1 perimeter defender, Motiejunas was having a great year, shooting >40% from 3), and then in the finals played the Cavaliers missing Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.
Is it me or . . . . are our fans constantly trying to undervalue underrate undermine our team Constantly look for reasons that we are not as good as our record says we are constantly self deprecating on behalf of the team SMH Rocket River I wonder if they do so with themself in real life "YOU DID A GREAT JOB !!!" - Boss :Oh if Jerry were here and the ink had not dried right I don't think I could have done it. " - Rocket Fan
This. The Rockets are 24-4 right now and that is with Paul missing half the games. FWIW the Warriors last year were 24-4 at this point last season.
Honestly don't know why we have these 5-6 useless guys on the roster. Morey seriously need to make some moves before trade deadline instead of tweeting after every win about some dumb isolated stat. Remember that 2015 team? we had dudes that can contribute even past the 8th man. Now we got a bunch of bench warmers are completely useless and not showing signs of improving. Tarik Black - Gives a lot of energy off bench, D'antoni needs to give him more minutes Bobby Brown - Will never be in a game unless we're up by 20 in the 4th Demetrius Jackson - Who is this scrub? Chinanu Onuaku - Morey's pet project that never amounted to anything, must've used the Joey Dorsey draft algorithm on this bust Briante Weber - Cheerleader, has no handles or offensive game Troy Williams - never sees any time off the bench to see if he has actually improved his game Zhou Qi - 2 years away from 2 years away. Just here to collect that China $$$ Marcus Thorton who played with us like a year ago is a FA, might as well pick him up. NBA vet who can hit the 3 and is instant offense. He doesn't play any Defense but at least you can use him occasionally.
If they could ever get some chemistry going, they probably could win more than the 67 games GSW’s won
7 stars. I don't think there's a single person among us who hasnt watched the Rockets this year and decided "Dayum, if only this team had some more MARCUS THORNTON!!!!"
The Rockets are lucky with the schedule and injured opponents. Thems the breaks. As Chris Paul says, just keep piling up wins, and keep improving and building the right habits. The goal is to be the best team by season’s end, not prove to people we are the best team right now.
Clutchfans find the slightest thing to complain about it’s hilarious, it’s like we’re never satisfied weather we win or lose lol.
Enough with this “Rockets are lucky” with injured opponents talk. What team exactly have the Rockets benefited from? Pelicans? They were in video game cheat mode so that adequately negates missing Anthony Davis. Do you ever consider how the 3 teams (count em) that beat the Rockets benefited without CP3 in the line up. Not to mention tonight’s win where Capela and Luc were out with a 50% Harden? Seriously no excuses. The Rockets are exactly who their record says they are. They are world beaters when healthy and that’s pretty evident with their play thus far. Frankly it sucks to see Harden, Capela and Luc to suffer these freak injuries....but it’s all part of the game. If the Rockets were full strength they prob wouldn’t have struggled as badly against the Bucks tonight.....yet they still found a way to get it done in ugly fashion. It’s not the Rockets’ fault that only 4 other teams in the league are considered “elite” or “contenders”. They can’t help that any other good team in the league looks like blow out fodder when the Rockets play them. That’s what happens when a team is too good with a myriad of weapons.
Every team that faces an undermanned team is benefitting from some luck. Including many of the teams we’ve faced. Happy? The point is — it doesn’t matter. We are probably not the best team in the league at this moment, despite the early record, and that’s fine. What counts is where we are at by season’s end.
Fair enough. My objective opinion....Rockets are the best team in the league at full strength. There is not another team in the league at full strength I would favor over the Rockets based on what I’ve observed so far this season. Forget about the Rockets league best record for a second. Their record is just a product of how they’ve played their schedule so far. They are deadly and devastating when all cylinders are clicking.
By the way, would you list some examples of undermanned teams that Rockets have benefited from so far?
I have to give the Warriors the edge, right now. It’s hard to gauge the Spurs and Cavs, since they’ve been playing without a key star player. I’d probably put the Rockets ahead of them, but that’s just a guess.
Warriors are the Champions. They are our biggest hurdle. Spurs can get dangerous at anytime. I think the Rockets can handle the Cavs in a tough fight.
