There is a difference between saying it and doing it. Watch Melo sulk and create drama once he is benched.
George will probably get trade to Lakers come deadline for #1 and youth. Westbrook will bolt. Melo gonna be melo lol
For Billy the Kid to say this out loud without Melo's already acknowledging to him it's OK would be pretty stupid. In today's NBA, few coaches say specific things like this about players without their consent. Melo won't forgive him if he did. Also, Donovan has now created the public expectation a change is coming.
This really is a vindication year for all those who said Harden was the MVP last year over Westbrook. Russ looks like the selfish stat hog that he is and the argument that he had "no help" last year has been obliterated. Harden should be leading the race this year for his third MVP (granted, if Harden won a past MVP, he likely wouldn't be leading in subsequent years #LeBronEffect) But I think OKC is going to fire their coach. If that doesn't work, they need to trade Paul George. They just have to. Sam Presti is not in a good position. Personally I hope they stay the course and George just flat walks.
Harden had the stats and team record last year. Westbrook had the triple double average. Harden should of have won it last year. And it seems like Lebron James will squeak away with it this year.
