Like Bears Ears, this is clearly a decision where money is talking. It's crazy that our president wields the power to be bought by large corporations.

There is literally a very very small minority that supports this repeal. A government agency should reflect the opinion of the people, which it clearly is not. This is a shame.

Get this buffoon out of office. Been saying this for almost a year now. What a clown.

He's old, he's most likely got some medical issues, including mental issues, and he can't even perform his job because he's too caught up in watching the news and tweeting.

Why is he still in office again? Does anybody really support him? When is the impeachment coming?

You are naive if you think that companies will give you complete freedom in options. What they will do, what they have been shown to do when given the power to do so, is packaging.

But you know what? I'm not even going to argue anymore. I'm just going to nod my head at this naivete and say I told you so in the end. Companies do not have empathy, they are only out to make as much profit as possible. I'm not sure why this is hard for some people to get. They aren't going to throw the bones of their steaks to consumers, instead, they'll chop it up and sell you the marrow.

Here's a List of the Members of Congress Who Just Told Ajit Pai to Repeal Net Neutrality
And how much money they've taken from the telecom industry.

most of these are bullshit (especially the google wallet one), but even if they weren't 99.99% of the country did not care about these things

I haven't followed this issue, but isn't this move taking us back to where we were in 2015? Internet was fine then...

Amazing you can casually dismiss dan's list without any really insights other than "99% of the country did not care." When 80% of the US opposes the ending of Net Neutrality... I believe consumers do care.

It's not just Obama Era regulations that are being taken away.

Do we really want lawyers and bureaucrats driving the internet? Better to be free and open and driven by entrepreneurs and innovators.

At least supporters of NN have some very powerful allies with deep pockets in the event this all goes wrong.

But... anything that existed from 2008-2016 must be pretty bad, amiright?

I don't think anyone wants that. Non-ISPs like Netflix, Facebook, Google and Amazon have all argued against the actions taken today, so it isn't a simple business vs. government debate. It's an ISP vs. Internet-based companies and 80% of the public debate.

It was free and open, driven by entrepreneurs and innovators

Lawyers and bureaucrats just drove it off a cliff.
