And why they were immediately fired when they came to light.

I was with you until the last 5 words. Yeah, I dismissed him 100% because it just didn't seem logical, even by our crazy low political standards, that this jackass could possibly be elected President of the United States. I wasn't hiding and neither were tens of millions of others. I really can't stand that phrasing. It makes it seem like there's just a vocal few shouting at each other. Spin it how you want...but a majority of the voting public did not vote for Trump.

 

Do you not read what I said? We are applauding Mueller removing of partisanship.

The only thing you can possibly get out of this is that there was potential for partisan involvement in the Clinton-Email case. You want to b**** about that.... go ahead (even though you will be contradicting Trump's statement that she was treated unfairly by the FBI, but whatever). This bias has nothing to do with Mueller's case since he removed these people as soon as he found out very early on the investigation. There is zero evidence that the Mueller investigation has ever been coordinated in a partisan manner.

You know what is Partisan interference with an investigation.... the whole Republican panel of a judiciary committee attacking the honor of the former FBI agent in an attempt to lay the groundwork to fire Mueller to try and save the President from a damaging referral to the Judiciary committee recommending impeachment... which is insane, and inexcusable. Mueller should be allowed to finish the investigation without interference.

 

Curious if the trump supporters will claim Bill Kristol is being partisan...

 

In a way, yeah, he is. He was a "never Trump" guy like I was but he's carrying it to an extreme. He is all for the biased witch hunt because his singular goal is to find something, anything sufficient to remove Trump from office which he believes will save the Republican party.

If you took the Trump Derangement Syndrome out of the mix and asked people about an investigation done by people with massive conflicts of interest and problems with incredibly strong bias, they'd conclude that the entire investigation (and the Hillary investigation) were tainted as a result.....but if you throw the Trump Derangement Syndrome factor into the mix by listing the names of the people involved, you'd get a completely different answer. Some of the same people who had a 100% conclusive case against Hillary Clinton and decided to sweep it under the rug for political purposes are behind this investigation (and the best friend of the guy running that investigation is running this one), that's more than a little bit coincidental and the fact that they were willing to sweep the Hillary case under the rug shows that they are the kind of people who put politics first ahead of their jobs.

No impartial person would have to hear more.

So in essence you are acting that Muller is a Hillary lacky but somehow purposefully tainted his investigation by firing an agent and the reasons became public. That's some hilarious mental gymnastics you are playing there. Olympic level.

 

So Mueller and Comey are best friends now? How do you know this? Did you read their diaries? And how do you also know that the FBI had a "100% conclusive case" against Hillary? I'm guessing that you read that in Comey's diary too? It couldn't be that you're just completely making sh*t up as you go, could it? All while whining about how biased everyone else is, LOL.

It's a case of claiming things as facts to suit the desired narrative rather than look at actual facts or only going on what is known.

Pretty much anything he says in the future, all you have to do is say "Trump".

 

"Best friends" may be a bit of an exaggeration, but the two had a friendship that sprung from working closely together for so long. That's not a disputed fact.....and the point of bringing in an independent special investigator in the first place is to avoid the appearance of exactly that kind of conflict of interest. I mean if they couldn't do better, why did they even bother in the first place?

As to Hillary's case, it was conclusive enough to where one of her donors had to prevent Comey from using the exact legal definition of one of the crimes she committed in the statement he wrote up to declare her innocent....even when he was trying to come up for an excuse to not pursue the case he couldn't help but admit she was obviously guilty. In order to get past that he changed the language from the literal legal definition of the crime to something that meant the same thing that wasn't those specific terms and he misrepresented what would constitute a violation of that statue by outright lying about it.

You guys are right. The FBI has not been grossly biased, maybe extremely careless but the firings of these investigators is a double nothing burger.

So would that same FBI agent’s involvement compromise an investigation into Eric Holder or Bernie Sanders? Since he was highly critical of them too should an investigation of Holder be thrown in the trash?

To me, this guys texts read out like one of MSNBC’s panelists who used to be Bush era republican but thinks Trump is bad for the country on a dangerous level like most of them do. Doesn’t strike me as a partisan Democrat only but a pissed off DC veteran (understandably so).

The big question is why did the DOJ release only part of these texts in advance to try and shape a narrative before Rosenstein went before Congress? I thought Comey was fired because he broke Justice precedent of disclosing information to the public on an investigation? How is this “leak” which wasn’t really a leak but more of a public release okay but all of the other ones regarding Michael Flynn, etc bad?

 

Shocker... the DOJ now says the early release of FBI agents text messages to reporters was not authorized...who woulda thunk?

 

Folks are talking about the likelihood of something big being announced today... plus Trump visiting the FBI Academy today.
