Would you trade Gordon for a possible Paul George rental?

Huh? PG creates a ton of his shots off the dribble. PG also has tougher defenders guarding him than Ego does. Teams game plan to stop George more than they do Ego.

 

Some of y’all sound like y’all don’t watch Paul George play. He is in a different tier offensively in comparison to Ego. We all know how they compare defensively.

PG is better, but will he defer to Harden and Paul calling the shots? I like EG, but I would take that gamble even if George declined to re-sign with us. I don't think OKC will trade with Houston though.

 

Was the original option 1 to sign Redick, then trade EGO & co. for PG?

Anyways, I'd take PG if we can find a shooter somewhere else (which seems doable). Dude can play some DEFENSE. Even MORE switch-everything opportunities. And he doesn't have to resign if LeBron is on his way.

Wow, that was great. The difference is mostly on defense. George isn't explosive on offense,and his ability to create his own shot is average. A rental would be okay.

yes no brainer, PG would have his act together playing with CP, even on the thunder he doesnt ball hogg like melo and westbrook, if it could be ariza it would be idea though, but I really like ariza

I believe so. It was just a few days after houston traded for cp3 and he reportedly was a big part of recruiting Iggy and the presentation process. he got houston's first official FA offer. all other options came after that

 

Its not at all. It's true.

People are still overrating George here. He's a very good spot up shooter but his first step lacks any kind of pop. His handle while smooth is quite loose and he struggles to drive past bigs let alone guards.

Average finisher at the rim and struggles to get there.

Let's sign him in the off season and keep EG.

EGo chose Houston. That has value in my book when two players are pretty close in value.

 

Without considering any salary cap implications, yes I would. PG is a two way player and while Harden is on an absolute tear right now he will cool off some time so we need another deadly scorer. EGO does this to a T but PG imho is an upgrade so you do it.

However the problem is with the salary cap I mean I dont even know if the Rox can keep all their players, they only have around 18M in capspace and Cp3 and Capela are due for max or near max deals. PG would also want a max deal so you need tp think how you can fit 3 guys making the max and 1 overpaid dude making 18M and a bunch of guys making 7-13M in less than 110M salary cap.
