Great feel good moment, but he likely was able to walk and be on his feet hours after the surgery. Still great to see that his rehab is going as expected though.
Praying that he does not get injury next season. Otherwise, it would be another worthless season for me to watch. I have not watched the rest of Texans season at all after Watson's injury this season.
Sooooo can Clutchfans calm down with this post now? Watson and Clowney want him back. I care more about what they want than all the football experts here. A couple play calls (which we would not be talking about had they gone the other way or if he went for it and we failed throwing it) but that defense cost us those games even more. Meanwhile we had the #1 offense over those games.
Clowney got downright chippy with media standing up for O'Brien. First time I've seen him take a stand like that.
But I will just say this, as someone who has been around O’Brien and Watson: They’ve got a very good thing going. Without the injury to Watson, Houston would be in the playoff chase right now, and Smith and O’Brien would live with their issues. Watson really respects O’Brien and I believe would be really disappointed if O’Brien leaves; he’s told people he doesn’t want to play for anyone else. --Peter King/MMQB
Rumors are rumors. Every job has that time of the year where they talk about expectations and what have you done for me lately. I would rather not piss off the future of the franchise his first year with the team.
